Destiny 2 feature 2

Destiny 2 hits 290K concurrent players on the PC, has more players on PC than on Xbox One or PS4

It appears that the gamble to invest on a F2P version of Destiny 2 has paid off. According to stats, Destiny 2’s launch on the PC was successful as Bungie’s shooter was able to hit an all-time new record for PC concurrent players.

Going into more details, the F2P version of Destiny 2 hit 290K concurrent players on the PC. Furthermore, and according to the community-built tracker, Charlemagne, the PC currently has more players than Xbox One or PS4.

Now while Charlemagne had reported some truly incredible split figures for PC, Xbox One and PS4, the situation right now is a bit more balanced.

A couple of days ago, Charlemagne reported that 57% of Destiny 2’s players were on Steam. 28% of players were gaming on PS4, whereas only 15% were gaming on Xbox One. However, things are looking better for consoles today.

Right now, 36% of Destiny 2’s players are coming from the PC, 35% are coming from PS4 and 29% are gaming on Xbox One. Still, the PC remains the dominant platform right now.

      1. So does everyone who actually gave it a chance and played past the initial story campaigns to see that the game is far more complex and amazing than their quick to judge, low attention span, dumb brains thought.

    1. Why is this excellent?? Tell me?
game is so garbage it had to go F2P and most of the content is a paid DLC….
It will have tons of players on the first month and than goes down…..

      This is sad not excellent…..

        1. Oh yeah never… I cant afford it.. Oh wait…
The gun play screems console auto aim.. the mouse smoothness is terrible and the Guns feels like plastic bb Guns….
          Dumb as sh.t AI…and so on….

          1. 1. There is no auto aim, unless you plug in gamepad and play with that.
            2. There is 0 smoothness and acceleration, the game takes raw mouse input.
            3. Guns have one of the best sounds and feel in the market. Try for example Graviton Lance and tell me if you have seen anything like that in any fps.

          2. Ok Sherlock.
1 didnt say the game have auto aim. BUT the whole game was build around on auto aim thats why the Gun play feels boring and dumb like any other casual console shooter….
            2 yes there is.
            3. Oh rly… Than why you have the same Reload animation when you have a bullet in the chamber and when you dont have….. Huh??

          3. 1. Matter of taste.
            2. Dude, I tested it myself, there is none.
            3. Because… this is not a simulation game?

          4. 1 matter of taste? Its the trhu man… Like pc gamers will feel it no matter what…
2 oh you tested it so its ok
3 didnt you said Guns have one of the best sounds and feel in the market.?????
AND you dont need to be a simulator to know how reloading works….
If a free to play game like planetside 2 knows it than a BIG AAA devs shoud to… Or they they just gont give a F or they are stupid….

          5. Are you for real bro ? I thought we all agreed your trolling got old so new trolls rose up to replace you. And now that . You know you’re sh**’s still old..

    1. There is no such thing. I wish gamers would stop repeating this BULL$HIT. It also shows how little people value their time.

    2. Everyone should try it. The amount of content they are giving away for free is mind blowing to me. And there are no scummy Warframe style microtransactions that timegate your progress. It’s crazy that we live in a time when you can get a game like Destiny for free and enjoy hundreds of hours of it before you even need to consider buying the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions. (Only expansions you need to pay for)No need to wait 24 hours to craft a weapon if you don’t pay up.

There is no other game on the market that offers the diversity of content that Destiny has to offer.
      – You want a single player story campaign where you can just have fun shooting bad guys and exploring beautiful environments ? Destiny got you covered.
      – You want a PVE grind for more powerful weapons and armor ? Destiny got you covered.
      – You want intense, challenging, cooperative PVE activities, with complex mechanics that can only be beaten through communication, team work and fully learning/mastering the encounters ? Destiny got you covered.
      – You like PVP ? Destiny got you covered. While PVP is far from balanced since every other player is a freaking avenger with super powers, which can be frustrating at times, it is still well made and fun if you don’t take it too seriously.
      – You like reading well written, deep and fascinating lore ? Destiny got you covered.

There is a lot to Destiny that can’t be explained if you don’t experience it for yourself, because a lot of the stuff you can do, you simply never experienced in any other game. What most people think they know about Destiny is just the tip of the iceberg that you see at first glance. Beneath the surface you will find more than you ever imagined once you actually commit to experiencing all the game has to offer and don’t just stop playing after you beat the main story campaigns (which are more of an introduction to the game, rather than the real purpose of the game).

Most people think they know what Destiny is, but in reality they have no idea. A lot of the blame is on Bungie themselves, because they don’t explain many things, and most players will never find them if they don’t get involved in the community to learn about them.

  1. But I enjoyed it actually. I received the base game for free, and it was fun for me. But I’ve never bought any DLCs because It felt repetitive after a while. But the base game was fun.

  2. So I thought I’d give it a go with it being free, but like, visually it’s nice and all, combat is fluid. The one major gripe I have is the questing system and the MISSING LORE.

PC never got the 1st game, and Steam getting the game later down the line has the added content just crammed in, meaning I’m just able to grab any quest all willy-nilly, while asking myself where the hell do I go from A-B.

At least with WoW I knew where to go, even since Vanilla days. This game just cannot tell me straight on where to go, and I hate games that are like “we have plot, but you can play the ending first and the start last, do anything hur dur”, like I want structure.

    1. Quest system is definitely confusing to new players. Not very well designed at all but it becomes obvious after playing for a while. Youtube is your friend though. But I also understand that some people may not want to go outside of the game to learn things that should have been explained in the game.

    2. The game is definitely on the hardcore. You sure need guides to open up it’s secrets. And friends to do stuff together

  3. Well even i got it and tried it and instantly delete it after a short time. I wanted to see whats the fuzz all about. That doesn’t mean those numbers or people will stay. Just like when a new MMO is out, the big day 1 numbers mean nothing after 30 days. Then the numbers show if the game is popular or not.
