Death Stranding Sam feature

Death Stranding will be coming simultaneously on Steam and Epic Games Store

505 Games has announced that it will release Death Stranding on Steam and Epic Games Store at the same time. In other words, there won’t be any EGS exclusivity deal, something that will definitely please a lot of PC gamers out there.

Now while the game is available for pre-order on both Steam and EGS, 505 Games has not revealed yet any PC system requirements. We also don’t know whether the game will have any PC-specific features (like a FOV slider).

Death Stranding is the latest game from Hideo Kojima. Starring Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) as Sam Bridges, the game takes place in the near future, where mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam to journey across the ravaged wasteland to save mankind from impending annihilation.

The game will also feature the acting and voice talents of Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux. Furthermore, there will be appearances by Guillermo del Toro, Conan O’Brien and Geoff Keighley.

505 Games will release Death Stranding on the PC in early Summer 2020. The publisher will reveal more details about the PC version in the near future.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. It’s a PS4 game in first place, if you’re looking to play it just enjoy the fact it’s coming on PC, or play at 30 fps

  1. I am so happy to hear it’s going to be on steam, I was genuinely scared it was going to be Epic Fail store exclusive and I would then be forced to play it on mt OG PS4 at 30 fps.

  2. Well getting it on steam, watched 2 hours gameplay damn it was amazing, and I just wanted to know whats gonna happen next. Really good game. Tho yeah it has a lot of traveling.

    1. Im 7 hours in and the game is actual garbage. It has almost no gameplay at all to speak of. Thankfully its not my copy of the game so i didnt waste my money. The game blows

      1. Dude that game isnt meant to be go all out guns blazing LOL. I played Agony and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Death stranding has good lore, good characters, and interesting world set up in the post apocalypse world. You want what ? Call of duty in the f@@@king wasteland ????

          1. Yeah… no. It seems like you’re still in your bubble. As always, you have no clue what the hell you’re even talking about. But ye… say “fanboys”… that always works out for ya. People aren’t mad because someone is buying from the trash called epic store, mostly because no one will since the game is on Steam. And no, bots like Juan don’t buy games. They just shill. That’s what daddy Timmy made them do.

          2. I guess it works for you, i mention fanboys to the “bot” Juan (he is probably making fun of people like yourself) and you have to chime in.

          3. Bots are incapable of making “fun” of someone. No, you mention “fanboys” because that’s literally the only thing you can say.

          4. You’re in denial. It’s ok. I get it. Yeah man… a fucckin nobody on the internet calls me a “fanboy” ouch my life. It really hurts. Try something new, homie. No one will ever take you seriosly when your only “argument” is to call people that disagree with you, and offend you, “fanboys”. Also, if the truth would hurt, you’d be kept in morphine everyday.

          5. I wasn’t even talking about you, but you have to chime in and defend yourself even when you are not the target, says more about you than me.

          6. It doesn’t matter who you were talking about. I couldn’t care less. I don’t defend myself. I just call you out for your BS “arguments”.

  3. ok . here is the thing .
this game was made by heart . not corporate bullst.t
so dont judge it by some early revies who didnt play the whole game .
is it a good game ? i dont know ….
you have to try it .
you either like or not ….

      1. Innacurate. How is that? It’s a boring game. No combat, or gameplay. It’s not even a story rich walking simulator like Firewatch. Plus, it’s overrated as hell, the game is filled with more cutscenes than actual gameplay, literally the first hour of the game is a cutscene with Norman’s beautiful @ss.

          1. “Yup. Pointing out obvious flaws = hate bandwagon.”

I don’t hate you for pointing out the obvious flaws in your reasoning, hope i made myself clear.

      2. Innacurate. How is that? It’s a boring game. No combat, or gameplay. It’s not even a story rich walking simulator like Firewatch. 1. Hate me all you want but I just bought it for 20 bucks and couldn’t care less because it’ll be free of DRM and will be playable without launcher, unlike the obligatory Steam version that wraps itself around every game and forces you to use the new design which eats even more CPU, GPU and RAM because it’s yet another crappy electron redesign.

      1. I don’t hate you, but you’re making a really dumb choice.

To be clear, I use GOG precisely because I don’t have to use a store client, and get an offline installer. So I’m no Steam fan, so why is this choice so dumb?

Epic is optionally DRM free, but so is Steam.

Unlike Epic, Steam provides a Client based DRM option, but it’s the game publishers choice whether they use that DRM, or not.

Regardless of that, both platforms allow the Publisher to use DRM, they get that optional choice, not the buyer.

Nobody knows whether 505 games will use DRM, on one, or both clients, and it could very well have Denuvo DRM, just like Metro: Exodus, and Borderlands 3, both have.

if they do actually choose to be DRM free on Epic, why wouldn’t they also choose to be DRM free on Steam?

Now if it turns out you only get the DRM free version with Epic, then choosing epic will make sense, but only after it’s released on PC.

You have no idea what the PC release will even be like, just look at the RDR2 release debacle.
The game hasn’t even come out on PS4 yet, and we have no idea what the PC port will be like.

Most of all, Death Stranding, much like RDR2, looks to care more about making the game “Ultra Tediously Realistic”, in other words boring Survivalist micromanagement, and wasting your time, and not much fun.

If Kojima’s Survival Walking Simulator, of boredom, rocks your boat go for it.
I’ve already added it to the Kojima games, I don’t like pile.

Someday, I might finally get to start the “Kojima games I actually like” pile.
This is not that game. This is not that day.

          1. Well i feel you, but keep in mind the game was funded basically by SONY, so what did you expect…Besides it’s surely not second rate on PC compared to RDR2 or other games.

  4. Hmmm looks like a game where you’re going to have a great story but soso gameplay from whAt i’ve seen.

Will most likely grab it on steam once a good rebate comes

  5. Voice performances and overall vibe of the game is pretty good but its BORING like no tomorrow, such a shame too.

  6. I wonder how this game gonna perform on PC cuz it’s looking nice (in some places is missing shadows, simple glare, simple reflections) on old and weak as hell hardware.
I bet, again PC players will get little improvements in cost of few times bigger system requirements and its gonna be impossible to run PC version on hardware similar to PS4 like always 😉
