In a brand new video interview with Polskie Radio, CD Projekt RED’s Pawel Sasko revealed some new details about Cyberpunk 2077. While Pawel did not comment on the gameplay aspects of the game, he did reveal some story-related details.
According to Sasko, Cyberpunk 2077 will try to tell a movie-like story that will target an adult audience. Not only that, and contrary to other games, Cyberpunk 2077 won’t shy away from difficult subjects.
As Sasko claims, the game will touch subjects that we face in our times. The game won’t feature one or two subjects; it will be loaded with lots of them. As such, players will have to think for themselves and it will be up to them to decide what their morality is.
Cyberpunk 2077 will allow you to look at things from different perspectives so knowing them it will rarely be a “black and white” situation.
Furthermore, four different styles will be present in the game. These are: entropism, kitsch, neomilitarism and neokitch. These styles will influence how Night City looks like in general, not only affecting the clothing but also the architecture of different parts of the city.
Sasko also shared some additional details about Johnny Silverhand, the character that Keanu Reeves will be playing.

If you work for a company you are part of them and you represent them in some form. You spend alot of time in witcher 2 being embroilled in political intrigue and rarely any fantastical elements, in Witcher 1 the only dark fantasy stuff that occurred was during the village quest .

A big moment in single player console gaming was initially done in Mass Effect and Telltale Games. Your decisions impacted the game in a way each player could have a different experience. Not to mention your decisions were supposed to impact future games in the series but Bioware screwed it up and eventually killed it.
I’m hoping Cyberpunk would not only have this but take it up a notch or two. Love how Telltale did this in their Batman games and should be standard now in all AAA episodic games. Developers need to put the player in gut wrenching decision making situations some of them timed. These decisions should have huge impacts and change the way you progress thru the main story. I wouldn’t mind if some decisions eventually come to a dead end that requires you to start over from a certain point in the game or make it very difficult to get past to keep going.
Like Mass Effect did BRILLIANTLY with Lair of the Shadow Broker, this is the kind of innovation that we need in single player games to not only make them episodic but to keep them going. It would be huge.
Can’t wait for all the outcry from people who suddenly realize Cyberpunk is an anti-capitalistic and anti-governmental, and by proxy highly left wing genre.
