Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that a lot of gamers are really looking forward to, especially after its gameplay reveal back in August 2018. Unfortunately, though, CD Projekt RED has just confirmed that the game will not be present at this year’s The Video Games Award event.
As CD Projekt RED’s community manager, Marcin Momot, stated, the team will not be showing anything at all at this upcoming event.
We're looking forward to seeing all the reveals and announcements during this year's @thegameawards, however we're not going to be showing anything there ourselves. We’ll share more details about @cyberpunkgame when we’re ready.

And that is that everyone. Cyberpunk 2077 looks really cool however CD Projekt RED has nothing new to show at this point. As Marcin Momot said, the team will share more details about the game when they are ready.
Earlier reports suggested that the game may release in 2019, though CD Projekt RED has not confirmed anything yet. It’s also unknown whether the game will support NVIDIA’s real-time ray tracing RTX effects, though CD Projekt RED may look into it.

When people describe The Witcher 3 in such superlative terms it makes me think they have somehow managed to obtain a drastically different version of it.
I for one hope CP2077 will be nothing like TW3 because the latter was one of the shallowest games I’ve played. Choice and consequence system doesn’t hold a candle to that of TW1. Besides the world revolves around Geralt which is stupid but kids dig that.
When CDPR claim that in CP2077 being a little cog in the machine you won’t decide the fate of the world I am hopeful that it at least will be better than TW3 in that regard.

What I do remember about Witcher 2 is a post-release drama involving the company sending legal threats and fines of around 1000 euro directly to people downloading pirated copies of Witcher 2.
“lol,” not that black and white and at all like EA dude. Sure they may have it too, but there are degrees of crunch (I know being a sw engineer for banking) and unless companies are regulated more and devs unionized they are ALL going to have some crunch.
Would rather have a WELL built game under some crunch vs crap annualized BF and SWBF rotations built under the most insane levels of crunch that causes people and the best talent to quit the industry, or publishers shutting down studios.

CDPR not making annual releases does not automatically translate into the “hey now, they MAY force some crunch, but they make great games!” that you’re trying to pull. It could be worse, equal or less. And that’s that unless you have inside info on both of those studios.
