Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.04 available for download, improves stability, reduces vehicle pop-ins

CD Projekt RED has just released a new patch for Cyberpunk 2077. According to the team, patch 1.04 reduces vehicle appearance pop-ins, and improves stability, including various crash fixes. Furthermore, this update modifies the flashing effect on braindances to reduce the risk of inducing epileptic symptoms.

Additionally, Update 1.04 removes copyrighted songs incorrectly present in the game with “Disable Copyrighted Music” feature toggled on. It also speeds up switching first-person perspective to third-person perspective in a vehicle, and fixes issues with animations missing from important quest NPCs during cinematics.

Do note that this patch does not allow yet Ray Tracing on AMD’s GPUs. Thus, AMD users will have to wait for another future update.

As always, all major stores will download Update 1.04 the next time you launch their clients. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. npc’s mouths still mostly don’t move when they talk. frame rate/optimization is still garbage. thanks for nothing cd projekt red

  2. i feel sorry for the pirates.

    Why?

Because the game was just repacked in 1.03 and now a new patch is out making 1.03 worthless. Thats 100 gb downloaded down the drain for the pirates AHAHAHAHHAHA.

I on the other hand i am smart, not touching this till the “enhanced edition” is out and all the dlcs are released. Seems i am gonna need a new pc anyway due to how unoptimized it is and how the requirements were a lie.

      1. Brainless idiot above doesn’t get that scene crackers release patches all the time, it’s very rare to have to download the whole game again, might as well happen to legit costumers too.

        1. There are exceptions where at certain point you need to download the whole game, just like legit owners, and Denuvo cracked games the scene would need to crack every time a update happens, neither is the case with Cyberpozz.

“repacks are not compatible properly with either since if any one doesn’t install all language packs or other files the checksum will fail and it wont work. Esp with Russian repacks.”

Then maybe the problem is with Russian repacks, i don’t remember failing to patch games because of language pack and i download repacks all the time, maybe you should always install english language along with russian just to be sure.

          1. It happens often if the language files need to be patched for some reason and you didn’t install all of them, so it’s recommended to install all the languages and remove them manually once the games receives a certain amount of patches

          2. I guess it can happen, better not delete the install files straight away if you want to patch the game later. Also goes to show how stupid is for devs to not make language installation optional since rarely one is going to want all languages.

          1. The only games that don’t get updates are mostly Denuvo games due to the huge amount of work required to crack the exe every time it got updated, that’s why CPY and Empress don’t make updates, because they crack only Denuvo games, even CODEX dont release updates for their Denuvo releases, but i agree for Hoodlum

    1. Sometimes, the pirates just need to download the patch.this game has no drm on gog so i guess it will be supported by scene groups to the last update!!?

      1. Only exception i can think of are Denuvo games in general and a game called Desolate that was patched up to version 1.2.8 but version 1.3 you would need to download the whole game again, but in cases like this even legit owners will need to download the whole game.

      2. doesnt that means that the patch needs to be repackaged in the release?

Oh wait thats steam byte to byte patching.

        1. i am not an expert but there are a lot of patches alone for pirated games without any need of complete redownload.

  3. SOOOO she doesnt want to fck someone with a dck? Thats transphobic and problematic.

Also yeah holy crap meredith the corpo woman from the e3 demo is fckable…why? She looks like a grandma.

anyway this game is a mess in so many ways, to me the combat is the worst part, all enemies are bulletsponges.

    Not touching this game.

  4. Just wanted to say that it’s very rare for quite some time now to have the underrated option in games in general – “Text Size”.Hate those small fonts on a big screens.

  5. “Also the game itself has no good looking npcs”.
Yeah, that’s one of the biggest problems of this game. Everybody reacts like it’s beautiful and all, but I just don’t see it. I find it repulsive overall.

And frankly, I’m not sure any mods will be able to fix this game.
There’s just so much to change that it already needs a REMAKE. lol

I’d rather wait for better incoming games in 2021.

  6. On 100 000 reviews on Steam, almost 30 000 are negative, and it’s growing fast.
And it’s not just because of bugs but because of how disappointing it is in general, gameplay and graphics-wise.

The game is a huge disappointment in general, not even close to be a true “FPS-RPG” like all Deus Ex games. (Let’s not even mention Bloodlines)
Lots of people complain it even feels like a “FPS on rails” at times, which is the worst thing you can hear about a game which claimed to be a true RPG…
Your decisions don’t count, and even if you can choose different characters at first, it’ll only open up a few dialogue options, which… won’t change anything in the end anyway. Great.

Character customization is a joke and whatever character you’ll create, it’ll end up being ugly af anyway.

The city is literally dead, both npcs and cars.
You literally interact with NOTHING. Games from the 90s offered more possibilities.
It looks like an alpha version of a project.

Wait until the overhype dies, and this game will get as many negative reviews as No Man’s Sky when it was released… (not sure this one will have the same positive fate, though…)

        1. Tis unlikely anything I say would change your opinion seeing as it is dead set on being negative, might as well quote Arthur Morgan.
