Cuphead has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide

StudioMDHR Entertainment has announced that Cuphead has sold over 2 million copies worldwide on all platforms. This is really exciting news as Cuphead is one of the best and most lovely releases of 2017.

Back in October, StudioMDHR Entertainment announced that the game had surpassed one million copies. This basically means that it took the team almost two months to sell an additional one million copies of the game.

Cuphead is a 2D game that focuses on boss battles. In Cuphead you play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil.

    1. Not just and indie game but one that has a DRM free version available. They didn’t need Denuvo to make money and neither should anybody else.

      1. Exactly! It be cool if everyone just dumped DRM all together and let the paying legit customers have/play the version that they really deserve.

        One day I hope.

      2. Publishers use Denuvo in hopes of increasing initial sales on their games. They probably know that their games will be cracked eventually but they hope to force some pirates to buy the game because they can’t wait a little while for the cracked game. None of them have offered any proof or figures about how many pirates have bought the game because they couldn’t wait but that’s what they believe anyway. I am convinced that the vast majority of pirates are too poor to buy the games so those are not lost sales anyway.

  1. No activision Bull5h1tt here, a INDIE studio that provided numbers, what a shock!!
Also since this was released on Steam we can have sources for numbers, not like battledotnet.
