Crytek has just confirmed the remasters for both Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 that will be present in Crysis Remastered Trilogy. The Crysis Remastered Trilogy features the single-player remasters of Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3, optimized in partnership with Saber Interactive for today’s consoles and PC hardware.

The three-game bundle will be available on PC this Fall.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will give players not familiar with the franchise to be able to play through the whole storyline from the very beginning with this all-in-one bundle.

Players will be transported through, North Korean islands, to New York City where they’ll have to save humanity from a deadly virus, to the finale where they’ll be on a revenge mission to uncover the truth about C.E.L.L.

Steffen Halbig, Project Lead, said:

“We’re excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today’s platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure.”

  1. Imagine if they’re dumb enough to remaster DX9/Console version of Crysis 2 without HD Textures and tessellation ? Lol that’s actually possible, the fact that Warhead is not included is a proof that Crytek is only remastering the console ports… Anyway FU Crytek

    1. Bad management, bad PR, unfurfilled expectations, downright insulting the community that carried them, sh**ting all over their workers.
The company got so bad the 3 brothers running the company stopped paying their employees for several months while going to the office every week with a new car.

Imagine working without getting paid for months while your boss is waving his d*ck around with a new BMW everyday.

F*king disgusting, worse than insulting the core fans that supported them over the years for an wider audience, with console games (Crysis 2 and 3) that didn’t even sell as much as the first game despite that one being a PC exclusive.

Now they come out with this lazy poorly thought out sh*t to capitalize on modern consoles.

They deserve all the hate they get and more

  2. Btw, does Crysis 3 even need a “remaster” of some sort ? Don’t think so. The game still looks awesome !

I have kind of lost faith in CRYTEK and this franchise recently though. This is just marketing Hype created by the Devs to announce and release new titles under the so-called “Remastered” banner, IMHO.

    1. I can’t see any changes whatsoever in C2 and C3 footage from the trailer.

I bet they just slapped SVOGI into it…

    2. There are games right now that don’t even look close to being as good as Crysis 3. everything you said is fact

    3. Well…I agree on Crysis 2 and 3 that definitely didn’t need any remaster …. they are graphically better than many triple A games released in 2020-2021 ….. but on Crytek itself I don’t agree!
They developed (and continue to develop and support it) Hunt Showdown, which IMHO is one of the most beautiful and fun games ever created.
It’s a VERY underrated game …. in fact I would be really happy if it had more visibility on sites like yours!
Furthermore, I would like to add: did anyone think that they wanted to relaunch the brand in view of a future drop bomb?
I’m talking about Crysis 4 of course …

      1. I prefer SP games too … but if their new project is an MP up to HUNT Showdown, so be it!
We all have different tastes … but it is undeniable that Crytek knows how to make games …. I wouldn’t be as catastrophic as you are!

    4. The DRM needs an update. Kill that ugly Securom demon and add Denuvo. That way a re-remastered version needs to come out in a decade. 😉

      1. Securom… the infamous “protection” that even installed a “ring0” driver in the OS… that was as secure as a h0o0ker going for free.

Some malware even abused that vulnerability to cloak its install from regular malware protection – So less performance AND a compromised system… TY Sony!

That said denuvo could be almost transparent… if its employed at the initialization for instance it means it would take 1 sec or soo longer to load… and that’s it… no in game performance degradation and still quite b*chy to crack… but who am i kidding – Sadly its often overutilized to protect the game code and thus tank in game performance.

    5. Crysis 3 barely works on GCN 4/5/RDNA/RDNA2 on Windows 10 nowadays.

A remaster will at least fix performance if nothing else.

Also, maybe we’ll have proper FOV and a more modern implementation of AO this time around.

    6. But those things can be easily addressed with a patch. They don’t need to sell the whole game again.

    7. Agree, heck even crysis 1 still beats way to many of todays games in gfx. Kind of silly considering its age

  3. I’ll probably buy them if there are any meaningful improvements. Feel free to send the surgeons to my place and pay for the castration.

    1. So why are you saying people like me need to be castrated? Make up your mind, Mr (or Ms?) Latex.

  4. I really hope this quick cash method is for financing a proper sequel or maybe a prequel. Imagine a campaign during 80s with Nanosuit 0.5.

  5. Literally saw nothing in that trailer tha suggested any improvement!
if anything looks inferior in certain scenes…maybe YoutTube compression but still!
    GTFO with this trash ripoff!

  6. What is up with the tone of the trailer? It’s so serious. If Crytek would just take a moment and breathe. The story of Crysis aged like milk. It’s so B grade.
