Bloober Team has announced a new a new third-person survival horror game, called Cronos: The New Dawn. Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to PC in 2025, and below you can find its debut cinematic trailer.
Cronos: The New Dawn will be set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist tech. The game will let you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between the past and the future.
Players will assume the role of a Traveler who will be acting as an agent for the enigmatic Collective. Your task will be simple. To scour the wastelands of the future in search of specific time rifts that will transport you back to 1980s-era Poland.
Players will have to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using their all-powerful Harvester, they can extract their Essences and have them accompany them into the future.
The concept sounds pretty interesting. And, since the team used UE5 for Silent Hill 2 Remake, we can assume that this new game will be also powered by it. I just hope the team will do something about the optimization issues of SH2 Remake. I also hope that Cronos will not suffer from traversal stutters. Heh, who am I kidding? Of course and it will have.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

like i said before it was only a matter of time until they make an actual game after they figured out how to make games instead of walking sims with the silent hill 2 remake.
Anyway i dont think they got it, they gonna make another calysto protocol, repettive busywork fest. Good games like dead space and system shock 2 dont happen anymore. Sillent hill 2 remake was padded out so its long enough to justify the price.
essentially sir stutters a lot is going into rifts to play chess with old women while doing god knows what to them if he loses.
The stutters are part of the NVidia experience.
The hacks can't do ideas of their own well (Layers of fear and The medium), they can't replicate others ideas well (SH2Demake), and now they are trying to copy Dead Space but with their own take…how in the world would i think this is going to be good?
LOL have you ever played Dead Space? This is nothing like Dead Space. Unless you're going to be so dense as to look at any third person horror-ish title with a guy in some sort of suit and just go "DURRRR, DEAD SPACE COPY!!"
its like dead space, stop being dumb. Dead space was originally system shock 3 but they didnt have the rights so they copied resident evil 4 combat and made this. This however is clearly a dead space ripoff.
You obviously don't know what you are talking about…adults are talking.
Sh2Demake? Regarding pc performance
I blame UE5, that goes beyond the scope of Boober.
well if you liked dead space and calysto you will like this as well. Problem is it's a niche they're trying to tap into not a whole lotta revenue there. At least it's not a crappy online grinder.
I love DS and 2, Calysto was mediocre, but this looks interesting. And yeah, at least isn't some 4-player-team-onliner.
Don't count your blessings yet, there's still time for them to fk it up like most studios today. They just need to add inclusion and DEI in it and it's done.
CP is severely underrated. It's a good game.
Explain how is a good game.
Calysto is great game, a unique experience
How in the f*ck you come to the conclusion that Calysto is an unique experience? that was the first game you ever play?
I like DS 1 and 2, didn't even bother with the remake and 3 is OK in coop.
Calysto is a bad taste joke of a game…i think Cronos is going to be the same…trying to appeal towards the nostalgia of the OG DS but with the awful writing and gameplay from Boober.
One can only hope it’s gonna be good cause its the only one we’ve got. Devs don’t bother with this genre anymore and that’s just sad.
Its going to be great, SH2re is great and everybody except sad losers praise it
can't wait to see it then!
Low standards, the comment

Christ… cant believe these clowns havent been shut down yet.
They've been one of the more proficient devs when it comes to visuals and pumping out games within a short timeframe (quality varying). Between 2016 to present, they've released 7 games. What other dev has this track record this last 2 gens? Ubisoft?
well, i woudlnt call them "games" but yeah.
They already made a remake of their first game not even a decade later of the OG…unless you think quantity goes in hand with quality…the studio is overrated as f*ck (and lots of it comes from the honeymoon phase with SH2, people already forgot they made The Mediium FFS)
Bloobertards?
In space nobody can hear the PSO cache heating up.
let me guess, a strong independent black womynz is in the suit
Looks promissing, but let's wait shall we?
But it looks like the world is starting to heal.
" I just hope the team will do something about the optimization issues of SH2 Remake"
I'm using mods that get rid of 'almost' all of the stutters. These mfs will release the fix after everyone has finished the game. SMH
Are you kidding? Most developers simply don't care about fixing unreal engine stutters. The stutters are by design. You can't fix something that is a built-in feature. Devs should ditch unreal and make their own engines instead if they want to provide smoothest experience possible

Excite!, interested how BTeam handle combat.
