    1. I heard it was quite good?
I guess it depends on what you expect out of it. I’ve never found a DLC I’ve really enjoyed…

        1. I never finished the Witcher 3 DLC ( I know I’m in the minority there). Actually, Mass Effect I do recall being good. So I have been corrected. 🙂
It ran right in with the story on the game of the year edition or whatever it was I was playing. Included the DLC.

          1. If you liked TW3, you should absolutely play the DLCs, especially B&W, this one can stand as a full game without any issue

        2. The he Citadel Expansion from Mass Effect 3 was epic. That’s because this he games you named didn’t have DLCs, they had EXPANSIONS. We must continue to seperate the two. DLCs are just content cut from a game to get you to act a fool with your wallet. An expansion is a while other beast which usually starts development after the main game is finished & released.

          1. I get the idea, for me a DLC stands for what it is, a downloadable content, it can be an expansion, cut content, or even worse (skins and sh*t like that) but you’re right somehow, those games had expansion shaped DLCs, i just wanted to point the exceptions

      1. It’s too much of walking around, I mean, way too much.
And that gorgeous level design we loved so much in the base game, it’s gone almost entirely now.

    2. Loved it too, aside from the Epic exclusivity, it’s a very solid game, it’s a must by for me once it’s on Steam with all the content

        1. Pirating an Epic exclusive is a no brainer for me, but still planning to buy it on Steam or GOG after release because i enjoyed it

  1. Remedy tried so hard to make Control as difficult as possible to the point where it ruined the fun factor.

          1. Nice low IQ response. If you possessed reasonable intelligence then you would be able to comprehend that not everyone has the same level of skill. Not offering any difficulty settings means the game can be extremely difficult for some people while others may find it too easy. It was a stupid choice by the devs and only a moron like you would defend it.

          2. A moron like me can handle a game made entirely for fun, but the mega smart advanced person that you are, can’t.
            How hironic, right?!

          3. BTW, you’re the ONLY potato that’s complaining about this.
I guess this speaks for itself.
            LOL

      1. There were a couple challenging moments, but it wasn’t bad as a whole. That Anker really irritated me though.

    1. Do you mean the moment to moment gameplay, or something in particular? I found most of it very manageable.

  2. Still no fix for the awful optimization, though I suspect Remedy would need to scrap their entire engine for that to happen. Not to say that they shouldn’t, because Northlight looks and runs like crap.

    1. It does run pretty badly, but it is an improvement over Quantum Break.
I think most of the issues come down to everything being real time, lighting and all.

      1. I suspect the main issue is exactly the same as Quantum Break, in that you can’t disable the awful reconstruction technique that forces 4x MSAA at a lower resolution. And funny how they can boast about high end real time lighting techniques, but the game still looks overly washed out and grey. To their credit, some of the effects of the powers look good, but its visuals nowhere near justify how much of a GPU hog it is.

        1. You can turn it off on Control. I ran at a 1440p native with AA, which would have never worked on QB. I wasn’t running at max, but coudln’t really tell the difference so having a stable 60 was pretty easy (RX 5700).
I completely agree with QB. It was fancy looking, but very unstable visually, very noisy, and the upscaling killed me.

          1. I’m pretty sure all modes still use that upscaling technique, changing resolution just changes the base resolution you start from. All of the console versions use it at least, according to Digital Foundry.

        2. The game does not use QB’s reconstruction tech. There are no reconstruction artefacts visible unlike Quantum Break.
There is some odd stutter in the DX12 renderer but nothing jarring in my opinion. Installed on my 970 Evo they are barely noticeable.

    2. quantum break runs and looks like crap too. man remedy is truly capable of making utterly craptimized games.
