Bethesda’s Todd Howard has confirmed that both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 will not be present at E3 2019. Not only that, but the team will not talk at all about these highly anticipated projects as it will be a long time until Starfield and TES6 come out.
As Todd Howard said:
“The technology that we’ve been building, people are going to see it first actually in Starfield so that tech is going to have a second version of it in TES6. And before anyone asks, please be patient. It’s going to be a long time. It’s not something we are going to be talking about at E3 – either for these games – this year. And so, patience please.”
So there you have it everyone. No news for The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield this year.
As for the technology that Todd Howard hints at… well… we are definitely interested in it, however Howard said the same thing about Fallout 76 and that game looked outdated from the get-go. Therefore, we suggest tempering your expectations (until we see the first in-engine footage).
Stay tuned for more!

So it could be a new engine or not…
My thoughts are if it was just a regular updated branch of their old school Creation Engine aka their modded Gamebryo engine surely they show something at this years E3. So would this not make sense that it is in fact a new ground up engine or maybe UE4 or Unity!? You would think at the least Starfield should have something demo-able by now.
I think I am just going to ignore it all for now till something shows up that is concrete. Hmmm thought they show something on it for sure, guess not.
Of course it’ll be another iteration of Gamebryo. They’ll presumably make TES VI exclusive to bethesda(dot)net or at the very least a timed exclusive for that.
Yeah I know, this is most likely the case but I keep hoping that one day they will switch to UE4 or make a new engine from the ground up in house. Feels bad Man 🙁
Bethesda.
It just works.
hhhhhhhhhh because they both use the Creation Engine and that blew up on their faces in Fallout 76, they going back to drawing board and trying to figure out what to do
rumors say the space combat didnt work on their engine, so they got another studio who managed to make it work in a new engine but they told them to make it in the old engine.
So yeah the development of this game is a mess.
hopefully it’s because they’re getting rid of their dog shet engine and they’re remaking everything from scratch on a new engine.
That’s pretty long time to wait considering that they haven’t released any major project since Fallout 4
Badthesda..Bugthesda…
They’re still letting Todd Howard speak publicly after the great embarrassment caused by his claims about Fallout 76!
What claims lol?
Seriously? Just check out the numerous videos and how folk ridiculed the claims therein.
Again, what did Todd claim about F76 and what turned out to be a lie? Just one example.
James Bond has a license to kill, Todd Howard has a license to lie
Beastie Boys had a license to ill, AC/DC shoot to thrill!
I’m way past caring about what engine or tech they use. I don’t trust them to make a fun game anymore.
Bethesda and Todd Howard thinks we’re too stupid and fall for their scams again! Not this time folks, wait for the reviews!
You should wait for the reviews anyway. Bethesda has gone to releasing sh*tty games and some people fall for it anyway but I wouldn’t listen to Nick McCaskey if he reviews any of the games. He said the shockingly boring bug riddled utter fail of a game Fallout 76 was shockingly fun.
If starfield is always online i wont buy it.
Bethesda’s games are buggy broken and subpar, mods can fix em, look at fallout 76, so many bans for tinkering with the game, or having 2 accounts to help make more stuff. If its not offline and doesnt support mods i am not touching it. I am not risking any bans to play a buggy unfinished game that needs mods to fix it.
Bethesda Softworks – the publisher, still has a few good studios under them like Id (for now) and cant wait to see more Doom.
Bethesda Game Studio – the developer and treehouse where Fraud Coward lives – already burned up all of their excitement tokens for me so doesnt matter what they say or dont say they are doing because I wont ever let myself get blindly happy with their games like I did in the past. Even if a new engine is presented, I need to see its application in fully completed games – not tech demos.
AAA have effectively ruined those days of just having pure excitement for new games with their GaaS scams, and BGS joined them. Anyone who thinks they weren’t on board with it, salivating with greed, are fooling themselves since BGS, MS, and EA have always back scratched each other for such a purpose.
It will take a lot to resurrect BGS for me personally. Everyone else will be over-hyping whatever dumb crap they do regardless.
lots of devs skip e3 lately
Next game has to be really good after the disappointment(Disaster) of F76 can’t ride the loyal fans forever.
Bethseda need to wake up and start delivering. Looks like they were resting on their laurels and Fallout 76 is a sucker punch to wake them up.
