During Electronic Arts Q3 FY 2021 earnings call with analysts, CEO Andrew Wilson shared some details on the next Battlefield game, and revealed the new game is coming this Holiday 2021.
EA said the new battlefield game will offer an “all-out military warfare” and will support more players than ever before. This likely means that the game will have more than 64 players limit.
Wilson said, “We’re looking forward to sharing a lot more about our [fiscal year 2022] plans in the months ahead, including our next Battlefield experience, which will mark a return to all-out military warfare.”
“The game takes full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive, immersive battles to life with more players than ever before. Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level.
The team is focused and the game is ahead of our internal milestones. We’ll reveal the game in the spring, and deliver a defining Battlefield experience for our players in the 2021 holiday season.”
The game will take full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S to bring massive and immersive battles to life, not just with better graphics and performance, but also new features.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen further reiterated the fact that DICE is way ahead of where they were in prior product cycles, when it comes to the game’s development. Jorgensen said that the new title is scheduled to reach “feature complete” status faster than any other Battlefield game in the franchise.
“Formal guidance will follow on our Q4 call, but I can tell you now that the Battlefield team is doing an incredible job. They’re way ahead of where they were in prior product cycles, on track for their earliest feature complete in franchise history.” –Jorgensen said.
So just to reiterate, Battlefield 6 is set to release this holiday season, on next-gen systems and PC. A full reveal is also coming sometime in spring.
According to EA, Battlefield 6 or whichever name the company decides will be bigger and larger than ever before. EA teased huge maps, more players than ever before, and next-gen console upgrades.
Moreover, the Battlefield official Twitter account mentioned BF6 in a recent tweet.

Battlefield 6 – The Woke War?
White supremacists? Do you get all your information from angry Twitter lesbians? Are you serious?
Game is already destroyed by cheaters. They will have cheats out during the Beta. Hopefully half the people who thought BFV was a good Idea has been fired. BF6 is pretty much the last hope for Dice in my eye.
EA has all those billions they make off suckers for Fifa / Madden and yet they can’t have a dev team work on a real anticheat for origin games based around cheats that are sold online or that are given for free on unknowncheats. All those billions yet Dumb AF.
Also the whole 128 player matches prolly have the most boing empty maps ever seen in a bf game.
I enjoy BF games.. I hope I am wrong about everything above. But my faith in EA and how they have handled Dice as of late has not had my hopes up at all for a new BF game.

The fact that the past ~4 years to say the least we have seen a tremendous rise in the market in terms of $$ from zoomers etc growing up and spending money and EA hasn’t made proper use of BF is sad.
Activision has tons of people hooked on Warzone for example even with the tons of issues it faces. BF has so much potential wasted because of impotent people.

One of the SJW bosses responsible soon moved on after sales were relatively low and EA were then forced into slashing the price so soon after launch in the first of several desperate moves until they eventually relented by dropping all woke nonsense from subsequent DLC.

What’s almost as bad are the design choices, some c*nt at DICE Sweden really likes Goggles, every a*shole needs Goggles doesn’t matter the setting, faction or class/division, everyone must have at least 6 pairs of goggles.

Those people were dumbasses as neither game was even close to realistic just because they portrayed settings based on reality and became over the top parodies of themselves with Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 1.
Battlefield fanbase was always filled with dummies, but when EA pandered to the CoD crowd, the community became full on pants retarded.
What they did do was to at least have the aesthetics and atmosphere of the conflicts they depicted nailed down, even if many of the things they added made no sense, like soldiers wearing night vision goggles in sunny lighted areas.
They can’t even do that right nowadays, just random outfits strung together and random clutter like a soldier having 3 pair of glasses on him for no reason.

I am a PC gamer using keyboard and mouse, but my friends can’t afford a PC and because of them I go and get the game on console just so we can have fun. An option for cross platform is good for everyone to join that’s all I am saying, its like an agreement for faster frames for us and aim assist for them. There can be custom games like what COD does, not all games or maps must be cross platform

“Immersive battles” where dudes survive headshots from tanks, you can crash a plane into a horse and the plane explodes but the horse keeps trotting, dudes can stand on the wings of an A10, and other realistic happenings.
Immersive does not mean 100000% ultra realism. It’s a god damn game.
