Battlefield 5 official PC requirements revealed, includes exclusive requirements for NVIDIA’s RTX Tech

Electronic Arts and DICE have revealed the official PC requirements for Battlefield 5. According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an AMD FX-8350 or an Intel Core i5 6600K with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon RX 560/HD 7850 graphics card.

DICE recommends an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or an Intel Core i7 4790 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 580. The game will also require 50GB of free hard-disk space.

What’s really interesting here is that DICE has also revealed the requirements for running NVIDIA’s RTX, real-time ray tracing, tech. And according to the team, PC gamers will need an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 or an Intel Core i7 8700 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. Yeap, you read that right; there will be a CPU overhead for the real-time ray tracing effects, something that may displease a number of gamers who thought that the real-time ray tracing effects would only require an RTX GPU and nothing more.

Battlefield 5 releases on November 5th and below you can find its full PC requirements.

  1. inb4 EA haters storm this comment section. thanks EA, i appreciate that you care about me enough to make masterpieces for me, i shall reward you with my hard earned money.

      1. Life is not easy for him being 50% Polish and 70% German and 100% Arab. No, wait a minute, he’s Pakistani this week. Last week it was Saudi Arabia. He seems to be progressively heading East in his lineage. Maybe he will be 90% Chinese next.

      2. Common Sense, KIM, Kim Kardashian West are the most toxic. Dagoat is toxic but every now and then his nontoxic self shines… and it is beautiful.

        1. I’m pretty sure KKW and Kim are the same person. I think KKW got banned and returned as Kim. He apparently is fascinated with Kim Kardashian.

  2. I too am extremely excited for this relase. I’ve been here since the beta for 1942. I like the direction. Stuff delayed, okay. Anything else like it, no. Never seen anything like this before.

      1. @terrence_philip:disqus might be a woman you know. That would make you the woman hater. Also, calling them a f*gget makes you a homophobe. Go lash yourself 50 times or you are kicked out of the church of social justice.

        1. Conservatives are the ultimate hypocrites. But you already knew that, which is why you want to project any chance you can get.

  3. Is there a handy video showing exactly what those people who won’t get the cool new ray tracing in BFV are missing?

  4. 1300x = i7 4790, that’s good news…
Also I don’t think that a 2070 will handle RTX at 60FPS, in early gameplay footage the 2080 ti struggled to hit 60, but maybe they improved it

        1. I have no info about that. Unfortunately, because until AMD comes with DXR support, I have to read BS comments like yours.

  5. Every BF game made me upgrade and i could always play it on higher settings much later, as in a few generations later. In 2020, we might be able to play this in 4k + ray tracing. (or 19?)
