Assassins Creed Unity feature 5

Assassin’s Creed Unity is available for free on UPLAY for a limited time

Ubisoft is currently giving away for free Assassin’s Creed Unity on UPLAY. For one week, PC gamers will be able to get this Assassin’s Creed game, set in Paris, for free and once acquired they will be able to keep it theirs forever.

As Ubisoft stated:

“In light of Monday’s events, we will be donating €500,000 to help with the restoration and reconstruction of the Cathedral. We encourage all of you who are interested to donate as well. In addition, we want to give everyone the chance to experience the majesty and beauty of Notre-Dame the best way we know how. For one week, we will be giving Assassin’s Creed Unity away free on PC, for anyone who wants to enjoy it.”

Despite its bugs, Assassin’s Creed Unity remains one of the most technologically ambitious AC games to date. Unity pushed an impressive number of simultaneous NPCs on screen and featured some of the best Global Illumination effects we’ve seen to date.

While the game came out in 2014, it still remains a great looking game. However, its movement and gameplay mechanics show the game’s age, something that most AC fans will immediately notice.

Still, this is a free game so we strongly suggest downloading it while you still can.

Have fun!

    1. Yeah, they simply did not made it DLC at all really. It’s just part of the game that got patched in.

        1. Dead Kings? Yeah.

Again, it’s not even listed as DLC in the store. It’s just part of the game now.

Unity only have 2 DLCs you can buy, one is weapon pack and other one is weapon pack with 3 side missions.

      1. if it wasnt it wouldnt crawl because of this, steam doesnt crawl every time some game is free you dumb fck.

        1. Aside from a few mentally challenged virgins, nobody is boycotting uplay or even epic. Normal people don’t care.

    1. I’m surprised you’re not shilling harder for Ubisoft given that your corporate overlord Tencent Holdings has a 5% stake.

    1. Even you left it alone since you saw how important it is. Sadly many not and they celebrate on the social media

  1. The game is much better than people remember it, fully patched. It’s definitely not a bad game. Graphics and atmosphere still have to be amongst the best I’ve ever seen in any game to date.

  2. “Its movement and gameplay mechanics show the game’s age”

lol. Have you played Odyssey? It’s movement and mechanics are garbage. Unity arguably has the best movement and mechanics in the series.

    1. Hard to disagree. While Unity and Syndicate were fairly simple control schemes, both Origins and Odyssey had some odd aspects.

  3. Possibly one of the only AC games I’ve never tried. For the price of free I’ll check out if the bugs are really as bad as the memes say.

    1. I remember I bought the game a couple months after release and literally everything that was complained about had been patched out. It’s honestly a great game. Get lost in 1780’s Paris… it’s a blast.

  4. despite of its bad reputation, and badly optimized contents on the gameplay side…it is one or the best looking game of this generation! best global illumination ( better of some ray traced ones) to date…..IN MY OPINION…

  5. I did’t play this game yet put i’m pretty sure of one thing, Assassin’s Creed Unity is way better than Assassin’s Creed III (the game that a lot of people like it, and in reality it’s just a dog $#!t).

  6. Its movement and gameplay mechanics show the game’s age?

Compared to what? Unity have most fluid movement out of all AC games. Origins and Odyssey have incredibly bad and lazy parkour compared to it.

Well and it also have most in-depth assasin gameplay mechanics.

It’s story that I think is weak but gameplay-wise it’s classic AC formula honed to perfection really.

        1. Can only talk for Origins, that one I played but let’s agree to disagree. I like the system itself, loved it in Syndicate for example. Just hated it in Unity.

  7. Got it, just a such a hassle get it from Uplay since they ask everything from your name to shoe size. After couple of 404 errors i managed to get it

  8. When will Ubisoft take a pause on AC and remake Prince of Persia in the new AC engine? Maybe never…until then thank you for being nice to us and giving something ‘free’ for a limited time.

    1. Didn’t play any AC game after 1…so really didn’t know how the engine is. Oh well my dream go back to its waiting place then.

  9. Smart move. There was no way I was going to get a post-Brotherhood AC game otherwise but you can’t argue with free.
