Back in July 2020, Amazon announced a delay for its upcoming MMORPG, New World. And yesterday, the company announced yet another delay for this game. According to Amazon, New World will now release on August 31st, 2021.
As Amazon stated:
“We’ve been hard at work on compelling end-game features we believe are important to include at launch. These features won’t be ready for the Spring timeframe that we had communicated. With that in mind, we will release New World on August 31, 2021.”
Amazon claims that it will use this extra time to add substantial improvements while polishing and fine-tuning the whole game.
Lastly, the company will continue its Alpha in the months to come and expand testing by standing up EU servers on March 30, 2021. The game’s Closed Beta phase will also begin on July 20, 2021.

Would play this over WoW any day if they kept their original design philosphy. The PvP was fun and like sped up Dark Souls, crafting mattered, the world mattered with PvP. Now it’s being turned into just another crappy WoW clone. Instanced pvp that isn’t near as organic or fun, most likely endless repetitive grinding in stupid pve instances that got old 10 years ago. Healing and tanking specs will be buffed to the moon so that bad players can play and stream the game and ruin pvp. The kicker is that the lead left rather than see his game be ruined on his watch and the SJW’s who took over and who attack the rest of the dev team as “bro culture” know it’s going to fail. They already got their toxic male excuses out there in gaming journalism like IGN. The game is DOA and the people who will attack it are the same streamers and influencers who ruined it and tried to make it into something it wasn’t. It was a pvp game focusing on the open world and resources more than anything. Now it’s sit in town and do instances, cept none of these WoW players will leave behind their stupid 500 mounts to play a new WoW clone, especially one that isn’t faceroll tab target. They will legit play WoW until they die. One day a game developer will realize this as the former lead did and ok something DIFFERENT.
