Alpha phase begins in late April for the co-op action RPG inspired by Monster Hunter, Dauntless

Phoenix Labs has announced that it will be rolling out its closed, invite-only Alpha tests over the coming months to help it deliver the best experience possible to players. The first Alpha test is currently planned to begin in late April, and gamers can sign-up in order to participate in it.

As the team noted, even though Dauntless will be in an early Alpha state for the foreseeable future, it wants players feedback.

“For example, we may turn 500 people loose to fight only Drask for a day to properly balance his encounter. We may unlock a new weapon or armour set to test how well they perform in the heat of battle. There will be bugs, glitches, and unfinished content; it’s all part of the process.”

Dauntless is described as an online co-op action role-playing game set in an untamed science-fantasy world, in which players take on the role of elite warriors known as Slayers who protect humanity by hunting ferocious Behemoths.

Phoenix Labs will be inviting players based on a variety of factors including hardware, geographic location, and favourite games.

Those interested can head over to its Alpha Sign-Up form.
