3D Realms’ Ion Maiden will receive 3D Voxels support

Man, 3D Realms appears to be doing some really clever moves these days. Following the teaser GIF of its upcoming first-person shooter, the team has also announced that Ion Maiden will receive support for 3D voxels.

This basically means that Ion Maiden will retain its old-school visuals but will get 3D voxels for its weapons, items and various objects. And in order to showcase what will be achieved with the Voxels tech, 3D Realms released the following GIFs.

There is no ETA yet on when 3D Realms will release the 3D Voxels patch for Ion Maiden however we’ll be sure to keep you posted!
