2K Games issued a new update for New Tales from the Borderlands that removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from it. New Tales from the Borderlands came out in October 2022, meaning that it took 2K around six months in order to remove it.
It’s also worth noting that in February 2023, 2K also removed the controversial anti-tamper tech from The Quarry. In other words, 2K follows the example of both Capcom and Square Enix.
New Tales from the Borderlands currently sits at Mixed Reviews on Steam, with its recent reviews being Mostly Negative.
As said, 2K Games is not the only company that has been removing Denuvo from its titles. Capcom recently removed it from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and Resident Evil Village. Warner Bros has also removed it from Mortal Kombat 11. And let’s not forget Bandai Namco who removed it from NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER.

Can someone explain to me why this is so crap? Haven’t played it yet or watched videos but the first one gave me a few hours of good fun.
First one is made by Telltale. This one is made by Gearbox and their story and storywriting is getting progressively worse with each game.
For Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina you could say: oh well, the game is still enjoyable due to its shooting. Here there is just the story, just the characters and they are not entertaining in the least.
Oh, I see, I don’t know why I thought Telltale took care of this one, like with The Wolf Among Us 2. That’s a shame, then I guess I won’t be playing it unless it comes in a nice bundle.
It’s okay to play the first and second though. The second one has split screen as well so fun for couch coop, not sure about the first one.

I kinda like this approach with denuvo. Publishers get their placebo effect of protecting their game and pirates get the first scene release patched with all updates.

Sony games should follow the same approach. That unoptimized trash is only worth buying or pirating 6 months to a year after release
sony games dont have denuvo, but then you got companies that never remove denuvo like ubisoft, who recently all their games crashes and nvidia had to release drivers update.

It think empress already open donation to crack denuvo (via crypto) where she will just determine the target as she like or through the poll of her patreon. But if you individually pay $500 she will crack by request the game you wanted to and you can wrote any message in her NFO
