Modder ‘Cazanu’ has released a new brutal mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that takes its gore and blood effects to the next level. Inspired by the over-the-top gore of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners show, this mod transforms Night City into a slaughterhouse with tons of gibbing and enhanced blood and gore.
The GoreRunner Mod makes the game super violent. Enemies can have their heads explode, with pieces of brain, bones, and organs flying everywhere. Grenades, shotguns, and katanas can rip enemies apart in brutal ways.
The mod also adds a dynamic Blood Splatter System. There are over 70 different splatter effects, which change depending on the weapon, direction, and where you hit. Small guns make fine sprays, big guns make dense splashes. Katanas leave a slice trail first, then spatter blood everywhere. Limbs that get chopped off keep bleeding, and wounded enemies leave trails of blood when they move.
By default, most blood and gibs stay for 10 minutes or until the body is cleaned up by the game if you go far away. Smaller gibs vanish after ~60s for performance, but large messes stay behind. There is also an optional 5-minute version you can download.
It’s also worth noting that the mod enhances the game’s gore model. There are now more exposed ribs, brutal headshot flaps, and deeper wound detail. Plus, GoreRunner adds new wounds. To be more precise, we get thick bump-mapped wounds that sometimes soak in, as well as unique slice wounds for sharp melee weapons.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video showcases its key features, so be sure to watch it.
Speaking of CP2077, here are some other great mods for it. For starters, you can download the Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker. There’s also a mod that allows cars to fly, as well as other mods that can open up new areas to explore. Then we have this mod that adds a cool Grand Theft Auto-inspired Taxi Driver Mode. Oh, and don’t forget these mods that allow you to play as Ciri from The Witcher 3. Plus, there is a cool Urban Survival Immersion Μod, as well as a Story-Driven Rent System Mod and a Fully Functional Fuel System Mod.
If you don’t want to pay for a graphical mod, you can improve the game’s graphics with the following free mods. For instance, you can use the Ultra+ Mod. Not only does it improve the quality of Path Tracing, but it also improves performance. Its creator has claimed that it can speed up PT performance by 30-40%.
If, on the other hand, you don’t want to use it, you can try some other Path Tracing/Ray Tracing Mods. For instance, this mod disables all the fake lights when using PT/RT. And then we have this mod that can improve the path-traced reflections.
There are also some free HD Texture Packs to use. For example, you can use Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked or this other HD Texture Pack that improves all trees. There’s also another pack that improves the textures of almost all buildings, terrain, and environments. However, these packs don’t work together. Therefore, you’ll have to use only one of them.
Additionally, there’s a mod that adds realistic ragdoll physics to finishing moves. Plus, Law Enforcement Overhaul is a mod that enhances the game’s Police System. And there’s even a mod that integrates the OpenAI API, which enables ChatGPT support. Responsive V is another cool mod that enables dynamic NPC reactions. Moreover, this mod will overhaul the main story. Don’t sleep on them, as they can greatly enhance your gaming experience. And finally, this mod restores 100 NPCs that were cut from the game.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

It's nice but I find this game hard to go back to, I beat it once and that's enough cyberpunk for me.
Thanks for including real user stories — very relatable.
I really like reading through a post that can make men and women think. Also, thank you for allowing me to comment!
Hocam detaylı bir anlatım olmuş eline sağlık
AC Shadows as more blood than this ….. unless you have the censored Japanese version ……. There is one cutscene where Yasuke cuts off both arms and then beheads the guy ……
I've seen more realistic gore 20 years ago.
In Soldier of Fortune 2, if an enemy lost an arm or a leg, he didn't die instantly.
Same in Postal 2.
i was thinking the same, Soldier of Fortune was such a good game
i crave violence again
