Tamriel Rebuilt Grasping Fortune feature

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Tamriel Rebuilt V25.05 Released

As promised, the team behind Tamriel Rebuilt has released a new version of it. Version 25.05 features the new Grasping Fortune Update, which brings new content to it. So, if you are a fan of Morrowind, I highly recommend trying it.

For those who don’t know, Tamriel Rebuilt is a mod for TES III: Morrowind that adds the mainland of the province to the game. To date, over half of the mainland has been created.

Grasping Fortune adds a massive new landmass in the south. It will also bring over 140 handcrafted dungeons to explore, as well as more than 270 new quests.

Do note that Tamriel Rebuilt is not part of Project Tamriel. Tamriel Rebuilt is a province mod that focuses on bringing the Morrowind mainland to TES III. It also houses the small province mod Eye of Argonia. On the other hand, Project Tamriel is an umbrella for several other province mods. These are Project Cyrodiil, Skyrim: Home of the Nords, High Rock 427, Project Hammerfell, and Elsweyr: Paradise Sugar can be found there.

Needless to say, this is an incredible mod for all Morrowind fans out there. You can go ahead and download it from this link. Also note that Tamriel Rebuilt doesn’t contain its own asset files. Thus, you’ll need to download Tamriel_Data.

Speaking of Morrowind, you might like these other mods for it. TES3MP 0.8.1 is a mod that adds support for multiplayer and VR. Then we have Morrowind Rebirth. In January 2025, the team shared its latest version, V6.9, which you can download from here. In November 2023, we also shared the first version of a World of Warcraft Mod. Oh, and there is also a 32GB 4K Texture Pack for it. There is also this mod that adds voices to all NPCs on the mainland.

Have fun!

  1. "It will also bring over 140 dungeons"

Legit question my diggas. Does anyone play these kind of open world rpgs for the dungeons? To me the dungeons are vestigal from games like ultima and daggerfall that couldnt do proper open world. I actually liked new vegas more for many reasons including that it has less dungeons.

    1. Hmmm, well I tend to play just for the dungeons. Cramped spaces where danger and treasure lurk just around the next corner.

    2. There are countless amount of generic open worlds, if you don't play these for dungeons, then why bother? go play anthem or something that suits your style.

    3. In fact i don't want to be confined in a dungeon that, lets not kid ourselves, most likely it's not gonna be too interesting.
I'd rather be outside with that feeling of freedom, exploring and going wherever something looks interesting and finding towns, landmarks, or whatever, different kinds of stuff.

        1. Thats why the dungeon crawler genre exists for a reason if u want to explore dungeons then play a dungeon crawler

    4. I mean, any traditional fantasy game based on DnD wouldn't be right without dungeons, at least in my book. I like how Morrowind had unleveled dungeons that you could find amazing loot in. Modern RPGs with leveled enemies and loot, kinda ruins that aspect.

      1. not quite unleveled, it still has scaling on what enemies you encouter eg dremora on low levels and dremora lord on high levels.

        1. To a degree, yea, but compared to Skyrim and Oblivion its much better. And I can run straight up by the Telvanni area Lvl1 and grab Chrysamere. Things like that.

          1. the way morrowind hid weapons like the sword of white woe demonstrates how much they loved making the maps, unlike modern bethesda.

  2. I wish modders would just save these efforts until SkyWind gets released or help them release it faster. Morrowind is too old to enjoy.

    1. I can't wait for Skyrim Home of the Nords, because Morrowind is the greatest ES game ever made and actually has large towns, multiple piece armor, spears, in-world realistic fast travel methods, things to actually see and do while walking somewhere, and a PC centric UI that absolutely dumps on Skyrim and Oblivion. If you think it's too old to enjoy, learn to install MGE-XE or OpenMW and maybe play a game of DnD so your smooth brain can understand how diceroll mechanics work.

      1. i played DnD games before both irl and in video games (baldurs gate 3). I meant graphically and mechanically it’s too outdated. Combat feeling, the AI are not something you can fix by modding. It needs a complete remake.

        1. Meh. It could use miss animations. I use a mod that AI voices the entire game. Radiant AI would be cool. I just don’t trust them not to ruin the game by totally replacing the roll to hit combat, adding fast travel to the world map, adding quest markers, and ruin the vibe of the game by taking out things they deem “too edgy for modern audiences”.

          1. I heard they are going to create a faithful remake. I am fine with skyrim fast travel system where you have to discover it first or they can use the horse carriage system, quest markers could be a option to disable in menu and I doubt they would take out content as these are fan made project not big publishers.
