Modder ‘AgentLoginov’ has released Version 5.0 for one of the best mods for Doom 3, RealDOOM 3. This new version comes with new content, numerous tweaks and changes, as well as improved graphics. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
For those who don’t know, RealDOOM3 is a mod that aims to update the game’s atmosphere and graphics. It also updates the maps, adds new creatures, and new sounds. From what I know, this is the only modern-day mod for Doom 3 that is still in development. As such, you can use it if you want to replay this 2004 horror FPS.
Version 5.0 adds a new texture pack for Doom 3, Resurrection of Evil, and The Lost Mission. It also adds a new Birdman monster. Moreover, there is a new E1M1 map. Players will now wear a helmet, and they can hold a pistol with both hands. Plus, the modder added some new sounds to the game.

Speaking of Doom 3, there is also a really cool Halo-inspired Mod for it. This mod brings to the game the weapons, character models, items, and lore elements from the Halo franchise. So, if you are a Halo fan, you should at least give it a go. Then we have Runner’s Doom 3 v1.5, a mod that attempts to turn the game into an old-school Run-and-Gun shooter. Finally, we have Doom 3: Retaliation, a mod that attempts to bridge the gap between classic Doom, Doom 3 and modern Doom.
To improve the game’s graphics, you can use the Essential HD Pack v2.0. This mod upscales and enhances all of the textures in the base game, the Resurrection of Evil DLC, and The Lost Mission Mod. Moreover, it reworks and improves details for all levels, map objects, characters, monsters, and weapons. Needless to say, Essential HD Pack v2.0 is not compatible with RealDOOM 3. So, you’ll have to choose one of them.
If, on the other hand, you don’t want to use any of them, you can download and try Doom 3 Redux. As with the Essential HD Remaster, this mod attempts to overhaul the game’s graphics. Doom 3 Redux comes with over 2,300 enhanced textures. It includes 700+ textures from Monoxead and Wulfen texture packs, plus new ones. More than 1,200 textures have been remade for Redux, usually at 4 times and up to 16 times their original size.

Birdman is a cut version of Baron of Hell, it's not new and there is def dozens of mods that feature him. At least the Phobos mod added new attack patterns that makes him stand out, but i'm betting it's not the case here.

Dang, I remember back in the day when I upgraded my PC to play RTCW and than later MoHAA. Than comes Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 and sh*t. Ha, still got that PC but still upgrade it with parts I find. Can now play Far Cry 1 with now problem.
