And the time has finally come. Razed has just released the first version of the NaturalVision Enhanced Mod for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition. This mod aims to significantly improve the graphics of the next-gen remaster of GTA 5. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
The NaturalVision Enhanced Mod is a complete visual upgrade mod that takes full advantage of the new ray tracing features. According to the modder, it reworks the game’s weather, lighting, ambient colors, world textures, models, and vegetation.
What’s cool here is that Natural Vision Enhanced allows all light sources to cast shadows. This is something that the vanilla game did not feature. As such, it will further enhance the game’s ray-traced shadows. In other words, all objects will now cast RT shadows.
Now I know some will try to hype this mod and say that it can make GTA 5 look as good as GTA 6. But let’s be realistic here. It does not. GTA 6’s trailer appeared to be on a whole new level. So, to be more precise, GTA 5 with the NaturalVision Enhanced Mod feels somewhere in the middle between GTA 5 and GTA 6. It looks WAY better than the Next-Gen Update. At the same time, it does not look as impressive as GTA 6.
I’m not downplaying the mod here. I’m just saying that you should temper your expectations. And yes, I wholeheartedly recommend downloading it and using it. You can do so from its official website. Also, keep in mind that since it enhances the game’s RT effects, it might be a bit heavier than the Next-Gen Update.
If, for whatever reason, you don’t want to use the NaturalVision Enhanced Mod, you can try two other visual/graphics mods for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition. These are the RealityV Mod and the ChromatiX Enhanced. Both of them aim to improve the graphics of the vanilla version. And, both of them look better than the vanilla Next-Gen Update.
Another cool mod is the Next-Gen Euphoria Mod. This mod aims to overhaul the game’s Euphoria Physics Engine. In my opinion, it’s a must-have mod. It should also be compatible with the aforementioned graphics mods. So, make sure to also grab it from the link above.
