NexusMods’ member ‘Nvidiaforever2’ has released a 2.2GB HD Texture Pack for Dragon’s Dogma 2 that overhauls all of its environments. This pack is a must for those who want a bit more sharper environments.
According to the modder, this pack overhauls 1313 texture files. Nvidiaforever2 used AI tools in order to upscale the original textures by two times. As such, the new textures will have the same art style as the vanilla ones.
The modder didn’t share any screenshots to showcase the changes. But I’m getting the pack anyway. So, I’ll add some shots to this article later on.
You can go ahead and download this new HD Texture Pack from this link. In order to install it, you’ll need Fluffy’s Mod Manager. Also note that this pack will increase the game’s VRAM requirements.
This pack should work with the 4K textures we shared last week. After all, they cover different things, so there shouldn’t be any conflict between them.
In other news, Capcom revealed that the game has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. Moreover, the Japanese team has released the first PC update. As we’ve reported, that patch improved the game’s performance as it reduced the stutters that could occur in big cities. It’s still not perfect, but it currently runs better than its launch version. So that’s at least something.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 came out a couple of weeks ago and modders have immediately improved a lot of things. For instance, you can get a mod that improves its mouse camera movement. Another mod adds a cool lock-on combat mechanic. Then we have the Save Manager Mod which is a must-have mod. This mod allows you to start a new game, create multiple characters, and have an unlimited number of save files for each character. Let’s also not forget this mod that improves the quality of Ray Tracing, and reduces its smearing side effects. Finally, we have the DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John this is amazing, what else is there for dragons dogma? Don’t stop now, you’re on a roll boyo!
John eagerly waiting fo someone to release a nude mod and hopefully make a Dragons Dogma in UE 5.2 showcase…
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
These crap games use tons of VRAM and still need texture packs as stuff keeps looking like dogshit. Game development is a scam…
They do it knowing the community will fix everything for them free of charge. While I love the modding scene, I understand it makes devs even lazier.
Capcom has an aggressive DRM policy with Denuvo and Enigma.
Interestingly, they associated game install size with anti-piracy in one of their slides, suggesting game developers should bloat install sizes because it makes it more challenging to distribute pirated games.
And they’re probably not even wrong on that, and many developers are likely already doing this. Most piracy distributors are Russians on garbage connections with limited bandwidth at their disposal. In fact, Russian internet has gone significantly down in speed since the war due to sanctions on network hardware, which significantly hampers the ability of russian pirates to transfer large game files.
The sanctions are not as effective as you might think, since Russia gets all of their hardware from China, who in turn also have no problems in circumventing their sanctions, e.g. Chinese AI/ML companies are still getting their hands on the full-fat 4090 for the training of their deep-learning models.
Regarding the Russian internet, you can in fact check for yourself that they have no problems in keeping their services rolling, e.g. Yandex can serve any request quickly or the frankly mind-boggling amount of pr0n still available on VK[ontakte].
Keep in mind that post-SovietUnion countries have some very talented IT people, because they had to work with whatever crap hardware they had at the time, so making the most out of it via software was vital.
Nowadays, they of course have access to much better hardware powered by Linux, so even if they were cut off from any new hardware, they still wouldn’t face any problems, because Linux can handle an incredible amount of data & requests without breaking a sweat, even on underpowered infrastructure.
BTW, you don’t have to believe my words about Linux, however keep in mind that even Microsoft has admitted to defeat by switching their Azure cloud infrastructure from Windows to Linux.
In fact, they even created their own distro for it:

yeah I didn’t really think it was the case either, maybe in the west more of their stuff is blocked but it’s a big world.
Agree, a huge dl size is a real turnoff frankly, and really I don’t see any benefit in games bigger sized then like ACorigins or RDR2 so like 70-125gb just doesn’t seem to add better just more of the same which gets boring. Just go to another game after that. HFW compressed is somewhere like 75gb and installs at 150gb so for the quality of that crap no way. I’ll do that for RDR3 but it’s rare to get games in that class really.
But a problem there is that a lot of customers just don’t have the speeds to do that in 2hrs or so direct dl from steam or etc is going to make lots unhappy and they’ll say so or refund etc So bloat can also have negative consequences for the pubs-distros.
I used to have problems with pirating bloated games because i relied on a mobile internet, but nowadays the main problem is just HD space, at least for me.
this game is pretty bad compared to horizon , spider man , god of war i mean i rather play skyrim
Oh no, Unreal Engine spam has been substituted by Dragon’s Dogma II spam. This is actually worse. What have we done to deserve this.
We have failed.

John will spam endless articles for whatever pc game is trending. Just look at Palworld when it was popular, nowadays John probably forgot that game exists.
yeah it’s just seo for clicks and thus ad money and such, likely using AI tools to automate most of this, even chatgpt etc for articles etc very poor but at least mods are covered not just standard fare of most sites.
The domain won’t pay itself, am I right?
Well true but let’s not leave out jubisoft, justar and all sorts of dlc abuse games with hundreds of separate dlc that total in the hundreds or thousands of dollars not to mention star citizen etc Jubisoft has logins and drm in everything back to Far Cry 3 from I think 2004, still has denuvo in as far back as origins and maybe older etc But yeah they’ve all stepped up the cartel syndicate game both hw and sw makers to squeeze and charge more for less or not even to own. Supply-unlimited no exp date, demand-limited, result, worthless.
why tf is it so gray, looks fake, bleah
