Modder ‘LukeFZ’ has just released a must-have DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for Dead Space Remake. As the title suggests, this will allow all owners of RTX40 series GPUs to use Frame Generation in this title.
This mod is currently available on LukeFZ’s Discord server. To gain access to it, you’ll have to join his Patreon. Now before cursing him for releasing a “paid mod“, LukeFZ does plan to release it for free on NexusMods. So, a free version of it will become available in the coming days.
Dead Space Remake suffered from a lot of traversal stutters when it came out. So, I’m curious to see whether DLSS 3 can minimize them. As we’ve showcased, low framerates can actually eliminate traversal stutters in various games. In theory, a 60fps cap may do the trick here. Well, that is provided this DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod is compatible with Framerate Limiters. So, I might give it a go and report back with my findings.
LukeFZ has also released free DLSS 3 Mods for other games. Right now, you can download free DLSS 3 Mods for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Lies of P.
A couple of days ago, we also shared a DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. This DLSS 3 Mod was from PureDark, and it’s a paid mod. PureDark has also released DLSS 3 Mods for Baldur’s Gate 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Speaking of Dead Space, you may be interested in this PSX-style Fan Demake. There is also a first-person mod for the original 2008 version.
I’ll be sure to update this story once the mod hits NexusMods!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. No the mod doesn’t fix the stutters, maybe a hint better but still there (I completed the game using the FG mod).
Finished, forgotten. Terrible strutters.
I thought the stutters weren’t too terrible.
I only had slight hiccups when going through certain segments.
Certainly not something game-ruining, IMHO.
The level transitions should be seemless. Were they? Not really. Frostbite is to blame obviously.
They’re terrible, but they’re really small. You can play the game normally.
Calisto Protocol Frame Gen mod says when?
Do people really still care at this point?
Well, looks like at least some are suffering through it right now:

Well Duh… That’s because the performance is so poor on most, if not all PC specs, Genius… Like most games now-a-days without DLSS FG.

FSR3 SDK is out
I just like the helpful information you provide in your articles
Amazing mod, but god.. Guy uses down arroy key to turn it ON. Really? Pause, Scroll Lock and many other stupid keys that works for nothing and the guy would choose a key that is used in many games? What about left handed people? Jezz
That was because of me. I don’t have any of those keys so I asked for an arrow key.
For those unaware you can add DLSS upscaling to most FSR only games without waiting for a game specific mod. If the engine supports TAA then it’s 99% that the mod will work. That simple.
I discovered this worked when messing with Calisto Protocol. I tested it on dead space remake and it works fine and making frame gen work… It’s not as hard as one might think so I suggest playing around with an existing FG mod and see what you can find out. Id be more specific on frame gen but I don’t wanna step on any toes. Upscaling on the other hand is fair game thanks this generic solution that’s been adapted to game specific solutions more than once.
