Now this is really awesome. Back in the days, I was a die-hard console fan and loved my SNES. And no, I don’t mind admitting it as I strongly believe that consoles and PCs can co-exist. Star-Fox was one of my favourite games and like most of its fans, I’d really love to see a remake of it. And have you ever wondered how it would look like in current-generation consoles and PC? Well, time to find out as YouTube’s member ‘rickonami’ uploaded a CGI remake of the game’s intro sequence. Although this is a CGI, its visuals can be easily achieved by current generation games and Nintendo should definitely consider a remake of it. Imagine a remake of Star-Fox as a Wii U launch title. Deep Silver released today the launch trailer of Risen 2: Dark Waters. In Risen 2: Dark Waters, the Inquisition dispatches the hero to seek a remedy against the monstrous sea creatures that are interfering with the shipping lines, thus cutting off the islands’ supplies. The pirates seem to know how to deal with these critters… but they are hardly cooperative. The game is slated for release tomorrow on the PC and on August 3rd for consoles. Enjoy! Electronic Arts and DICE released today some new screenshots and a trailer for the Donya Fortress that will be featured in the Close Encounters DLC of Battlefield 3. This is the second gameplay trailer from the upcoming expansion pack Battlefield 3: Close Quarters and as we said, it showcases the map Donya Fortress in all its destructive glory. You can also see the new game mode Conquest Domination in action, being a mix of the tactical classic Conquest mode and the instant action gameplay featured on these tight maps. Theory Interactive has released an impressive trailer for their upcoming puzzle game, Reset. Reset is a Single player co-op first person puzzle game with emphasis on story and atmosphere and everything you are about to see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine. No up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get and it looks bloody amazing. Keep also in mind that the game is still in alpha phase, so it might get even prettier. bitComposer have released a new gameplay trailer for their arcade flight combat game, Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers. Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers combines authentic Second World War settings and a fictitious story that will lead the player through the Arcade-Flight-Action. The starting point for all the flight missions in the campaign is an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, which the player commands as the captain of the ship. The player decides at the beginning of the game whether to engage in battle under the flag of the US Navy or the Japanese Imperial Fleet. Fact number 1: both Sapience and Crysis 3 use the latest version of CryEngine 3. Fact number 2: Sapience is a mod for Crysis 2 that comes with unique environments and looks more varied than Crysis 3. Fact number 3: its latest trailer puts to shame the official Crysis 3 trailer. Fact number 4: It looks bloody gorgeous. Fact is that after watching the latest trailer of Sapience, I’m more excited for this Crysis 2 mod than Crysis 3. It seems that Milestone has been hard at work lately. The Italian studio is currently developing MUD – FIM Motocross World Championship, SBK Generations and the highly anticipated WRC 3. And today, publisher Black Bean released a new gameplay trailer for SBK Generations. Which – ironically – looks quite good. Don’t expect a sim motorcycle game though. SBK Generations promises to deliver the usual official package of the next Championship Season made up of classes, riders, and tracks from the 2012 roster and is currently slated for a May release on current generation consoles and PC.
