Avalanche on Avalanche Engine’s Future, Tech Features, DX12 & Dynamic Tessellation Plans

A couple of days ago, we had the pleasure of interviewing Alvar Jansson, the lead graphics programmer on Mad Max. Alvar told us Avalanche’s plans for its Avalanche Engine. In addition, Alvar revealed that the team is currently experimenting with some interesting tech that may take advantage of both DX12 and dynamic tessellation. Enjoy!

Unreal Engine 4-powered 4X Space RTS “Starfall Tactics” Gets Kickstarter Campaign

Snowforged Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its new 4X space RTS, Starfall Tactics. Starfall Tactics will be free to download and play, and it follows the Hearthstone model with booster packs as microtransactions. The team aims to raise $45K with its Kickstarter campaign and has 33 days in order to meet this goal.

Massive Entertainment & Ubisoft Annecy Join Forces, Four Studios Now Working on the Division

Ubisoft announced today that Ubisoft Annecy and Massive Entertainment have joined forces in order to create Tom Clancy’s The Division. Ubisoft Annecy is the fourth studio that is currently working on The Division. The other three are; Massive Entertainment, Red Storm and Reflections.

Pillars of Eternity – Patch 1.05 Now Available on Steam, Changelog Revealed

Obsidian Entertainment has released a new patch for the Steam version of Pillars of Eternity.
