Capcom today announced Mega Man Legacy Collection 2; a collection of the iconic Blue Bomber’s four most recent classic side-scrolling adventures, complete with several all-new features. The collection also includes a Museum jam-packed with history and production art, challenge remix stages for long-time fans, and first-timer friendly options like added armour and checkpoint saves for easy reload.
Players will journey through the later entries in the series with these four titles:
- Mega Man 7 introduced mysterious rival Bass and his companion Treble
- Mega Man 8 featured the series’ first impressively animated and fully voiced cutscenes
- Mega Man 9 marked the series’ return to its roots with 8-bit visuals, music, and gameplay
- Mega Man 10 retained these features and included three playable character options
This collection will be available digitally August 8th.
Enjoy!

“Mega Man 9 marked the series’ return to its roots with 8-bit visuals”
Why people think this is a good thing is beyond me… A big AAA company cashing in on the expertise of rom hackers instead of improving the hand draw graphics to HD standards.
Yeap it seems its beyond you indeed…
lol if you love 8 bit graphics so much, there is a whole library on nintendo, master system, 1000 of games and hacks that you don’t need to pay a cent for.
Indeed I love them that is why I own a vast collection of physical retro games! I also have an almost complete library of emulators with roms fir every computer and console.
I don’t get it either, especially with relation to the time that it happened. I mean, if you can produce better visuals, why not? I guess the sales were sinking and they didn’t quite understand why, so they looked back and changed everything back to how it was, including the visuals.
“I guess the sales were sinking”
You mean the mega man/mega man X spin-offs after Mega Man 8? There is nothing wrong with Mega Man 7 or 8, it’s just a cheap phoned in cash in at nostalgia.
There are even Megaman fangames that are better than Mega Man 9. For example Megaman Unlimited, which tries to tie the classic Megaman games with the X series. The level design is challenging without being cheap, the music is awesome, you can actually slide and as of a recent update, you can play as a new character, with a completely different gameplay style.
And you can get that game for free.
You hit the nail in the head. Capcom could at least have better graphics going for it, but no.
About time MM 9 & 10 came to PC. Hopefully 7 & 8 will be better emulated than they were on the anniversary collection.
Eat your hearts out, console plebeians.
isn’t it on consoles as well XD.
It’s another formerly-console exclusive coming to PC. They only care so much if they’re getting it too, compared to how much they hate seeing the words “PC” next to their platform of choice, as well.
It#s funny with this gen, mainly because you see articles or adverts listing a game and showing off the cases, with PS4 being at the front, X1 and PC following after, which then makes them think that the game is being devved for them first based on the cover being at the front first and totally not a marketing deal lol.
They even make a big deal when PS4 is mentioned first, then PC and X1.
