Activision has officially revealed the next part in the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: WWII will be released on November 3rd and below you can find the first official details, screenshots and reveal trailer.
Call of Duty: WWII follows a famous group of soldiers, the 1st Infantry Division, and its main focus will be Private “Red” Daniels, a young recruit that landed on the beaches of Normandy, accompanied by his best friend, Robert Zussman.
According to Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII will not feature health regeneration, and will not offer players the ability to pick up ammo. What this basically means is that players will have to ask their squad to throw them a new magazine to use in case they run out of ammo.
We expect Activision to reveal more details really soon, so stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy the first official screenshots and its debut/reveal trailer!

US only campaign……………………………………………………………
At the very least they could had a Soviet perspective like in World at War.
Soviet perspective which was actually the most important one, but hey, it’s ‘murica
It would have been really cool to see a Battle of Stalingrad level in the single-player.
Gotta push the notion of US winning WWII single-handedly into the weak minds of pre-pubescent teens.
Yeah, we should deify the Russians’ and Stalin’s actions during the war because the Communists were totally likable protagonist types during WW2. It’s not like their policies resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of their own people through gulags, mass starvations, state-sponsored genocides, but, yeah, make THEM the heroes… >_>
With all those “Gulags, state-sponsored genocides, mass starvations etc.” I wonder how on Earth Russia is still 140 million people strong. These stupid Russians should’ve just eradicated themselves if the real state of affairs had gone by YOUR logic.
P.S. So Vietnamese should consider Americans heros, those who burned them alive with napalm via carped bombings? Japanese in Hiroshima and Nagasaki should also deify those who nuked their people. Get your head out of your behind.
You’re funny, dude. History aficionado you are not, sadly.
1) USA provisions were marginal and I assure you, USSR would have done away without them just fine.
2) USA actually wanted USSR to go into war against Japan in order to avoid potential loss of American life associated with it.
3) D-Day happened only because otherwise USSR would smash nazis singlehandedly and US wanted some of the credit.
4) Brits sucked hard, while the French plain surrendered their country to the enemy while US decided to join the fight after watching USSR & Germany duke it out on their own for three (3!!!!) years and when it was obvious that USSR was going to win.
I like this, but I have to expand on 3;
The USA was always going to enter the Second War, because otherwise, they couldn’t have proven themselves as the New World Order. After all, you can’t start an Empire without curbstomping some little b*tches, first!
😛
And US was definitely waiting for the right moment after most of the fighting has already been done.
This just in, Activision and Sledgehammer has smoothed over US/Russian relations by casting main protagonist of this years CoD as a Russian soldier during WW2… Oh wait…
I’m sure they’ll come around to other factions with expansion packs/sequels like in the old days.
Not exactly, other factions were already in the main game when it came out, not in any expansions or other sht, also, if they only dare to do that…
That’s actually true, but my point still stands about them making seperate games exclusive towards other factions. Once that time comes people will calm down and forget this happened.
Highly doubtful. The amount of work required is just too much for a simple DLC pack, since Expansions are a thing of the past as far as Activision is concerned.
Especially for the now completely MP-oriented Call of Duty franchise. In regards to a sequel, on the other hand, meh, maybe.
Then again, a sequel for this IP is 3 years out, so….. who’s even going to care, by then?
Oh no, I was actually referring to standalone content, stuff which doesn’t require the original game to run. So essentially I’m just talking about sequels here. Frankly I know people wouldn’t mind waiting a while for another WWII game based on another faction, since most of us are coming back simply because of the era which started it all.
Who knows what Activision have lined up from now. They probably got all the other studios to now work on WWII games at this point, we don’t know for sure. But if people can still be excited and enthusiastic a decade later for a Half-Life sequel then I’m sure people can wait another 2-3 years for another WWII game.
I think Treyarch has the autonomy to do whatever the f*ck they want, considering the standing success of their Black Ops sub-series, but other than that, I suppose Infinity Ward might be working on a WW2 game – maybe.
Yeah, but Half-Life is Half-Life, this is Call of Duty. If Infinite Warfare’s proven anything to us, it’s that the FPS market is extremely fickle….. unlike the Half-Life fanbase 😛
Unless there’s actual evidence for it, then they still have to follow the same precedure as other studios I’m sure. Sledgehammer I heard were really the ones pushing the series forward at this point, in terms of visuals and story telling. Not sure about the gameplay part, never digged too deep into it.
I wouldn’t know about this since I practically stopped caring for the franchise after Black Ops. Was completely burned out. All I keep seeing is a lot of hatred for the series because it’s CoD. But yeah fanbases can usually determine where franchises go. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they exploited an easy to please crowd along the way. I’m willing to give this game a chance, especially after learning some newer info about it.
Yeah, Sledehammer introduced some interesting changes to the series with Advanced Warfare. Problem is, the title got slammed to hell because of the serious launch bugs it had.
As for Treyarch; like I said, they’ve got the winning Black Ops formula, I don’t think Activision would f*ck with that unless they make a major foul with the next entry. Either way, since Treyarch started development on their next entry over a year ago, I doubt they’ll be suddenly changing things up “just because” Infinite Warfare was so massively panned.
Either way, yeah, Infinite Warfare was an epic fail sales-wise, so I suppose some degree of internal reform as a result of that is inevitable, in order to salvage the series. From there, the only question is how much, if at all, Treyarch would get affected by these reforms.
I mean, sure, on the one hand, they did make CoD; World at War, but on the other, I doubt Activision wants to put the Black Ops series on hold, so….. Hm.
Another Black Ops? I didn’t really look into the reviews so much for IW but the concept of outer space combat looks really neat from the marketing I saw ages ago. Although it still has all the robots and stuff and it’s pretty much nothing like what the game used to be about. But I felt the whole AW and BO games were too much alike. Of course BO is more original but it still doesn’t change the fact that IW at least tried to push it beyond those elements I guess. Wouldn’t be surprised if Infinity Ward are already well underway with their take on a WWII CoD. Nor would it surprise me if they end up going out of business due to the reception. Depends on Activision’s mood really.
The Infinite Warfare Campaign looks decent, to be fair, yeah, but they launched a futuristic game at a point in time wherein everyone’s tired of futuristic games, so it crashed compared to its predecessors in terms of sales.
AW & BO were/are more about multiplayer changes than campaign stuff, I think that’s another thing. IW seems to have focused more on the campaign than the multiplayer with Infinite Warfare, which no doubt damaged the game further, as well.
Granted, that’s just me gathering opinions.
Extremely generic and cheesy Yankeestani propaganda.
I bet you will download it just for the Campaign.
duh
I will 😀
don’t we all? heh
xddddd
Yeah. I was rather disappointed when it turns out the campaign is going to be the Americans AGAIN. Cause we have NEVER seen the American campaign portrayed before… So fresh and new!
They may as well just have a bunch of yanks w@nking each off at this point.
“muh patriotism, guns, muh freedoms, muh sisters muh wife, woarrrrr! murica f*ck yeah! I’M SO HARD RIGHT NOW MEN!”
*Quickly press X to w@nk each other off*
Cue cheesy forced emotional music, and it ends with them c*mming over the yankeestani flag.
10/10 – IGN
I like your logo! :o)
i don’t have anything against playing as americans, it’s just that we’ve done it 1000 times before, can’t we play as nazis for once?MI6 maybe, russians sound exciting as well
Loving the tessellation tho!
Trailer opening shots: Normandy Landing.
That’s about as far as I got, because, yeah, if you open with that……
/facepalm.
Edgy suburban white kid national anthem of Contrarianstan.
I’m guessing from the “suburban” and “white kid” remarks that you’re a mad Americunt. You’re so obsessed with race, no wonder there’s so much SJW sc*m over there.
I use yankeestan/yankeestani because in many ways, the US is, and always been similar to a 3rd world in more than a few ways. Plus it’s funny.
You should have gone for Burgerclapistan.
That’s deranged.
Such a typical Yankeestani propaganda reply. Actual statistics say otherwise. On some lists the US isn’t even top 10 in freedoms.
What’s also funny is just how brainwashed you are, preaching about “muh freedoms” and yet the US has by far the largest prison population in the world, even compared to vastly higher population countries, and technically still has slaves as the corporate prisons use prisoners to make many consumer products. Then there’s the joke healthcare and a million other things i don’t have time to get in to.
time
“Facts” is more like it.
Speaking of “brainwashed,” the incarcerated lose their freedom for crimes against their fellow citizens, and socialism is slavery.
Time for you to go; your muezzin is calling.
coming to pc? strange activision hate pc gaming!
They’d sell more copies if they let us play as the Germans for once.
“But…. but….. but….
THE BAD GUYS?!”
So what? We’ve played as stormtroopers in Star Wars games before and no one complained.
Fictional bad guys or real scum of the earth that burned people alive in the ovens just because they didn’t share their outlook and were of different culture, hmm.
Again, fictional.
US is the main COD market so I doubt it.
Looks like the same every 5 seconds “cinematic” bs of every recent COD game.
That’s how you sell a big game. Nothing new here.
Well there is apparently no regenerating health or magically resupplying ammo, so maybe it will be decent.
1. no health regeneration!
2. no ammo boxes
3. multiplayer for 48 players (old COD have max 18 players)
4. new engine? (looks better than BF1)
5. PEGI 18 game
1. Nope
2. Maybe
3. Nope, that area big area from sneak peak is HUB, 24vs24 players is too much for consoles 😉
4. Maybe new, but with ton of filters, and it’s looking better
5. WW2, from USA eyes, and action take please 1944-1945 which is bs
1. no health regeneration confirmed – read article
2. no ammo boxes confirmed – read article
3. 48 players on consoles confirmed – go to preoder section on Xbox Live

I love how you try and prove him wrong when he listed everything that has been confirmed.
Well I don’t think they will compete with Battlefield’s visuals honestly, who knows, but all of this info seem rather exciting! I was hoping for a co-op/splitscreen, would of been a huge missed opportunity to miss that feature. I doubt it’ll have a full campaign co-op though, something I desire 😛 I swear there’s too much hate for Call of Duty nowadays it’s cancerous. Even I’m sick and tired of a yearly Call of Duty but this feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s more than I kinda expected honestly.
“looks better than BF1” lol, what the f*ck are you smoking? This doesn’t hold a candle to the frostbite engine.
It looks more realistic

FYI The headquarters thing they teased has 48 players but there probably won’t be any 24 vs 24 matches.
>no health regeneration!
What? Are they going back to medpacks? I don’t believe you.
>looks better than BF1
lolno
Sounds good but the american thing is boring.But..who knows..
2. no ammo boxes
what about medkit boxes? Cod1 had those green medkits growing out of the ground as if they were part of the terrain.
Battlefield 1 sure looks bad on low settings
Perhaps it won’t be as stellar when it comes to the visuals but it very much looks dead close in my opinion. Will have to wait till actual comparisons come about much later. The one this we all got to admit though is how authentic and respectful this game is trying to be with the time period. I know Battlefield 1 had to change things for gaming purposes but they really did eliminate authenticity in the process. I honestly think there’s yet to be a true World War 1 AAA experience in the market.
COD WWII looks better than BF1

Advanced Warfare also looked good… on cutscenes.
Both pictures are from “in engine cutscenes”
Looks good but it’s still impossible to compare for a number of reasons:
Firstly, the game was just announced and is 7 months away from release. A lot of changes can happen from now. And we all know how the majority of multiplatform games turn out in the end.
Secondly, you shouldn’t believe in what companies say (unless they’re CIG :P) when they make bold statements like “Actual In-Game Graphics” or whatever. In-game to me means real time. For all we know those cutscenes would of likely been pre-rendered. I’m sure Battlefield games from time to time use pre-rendered videos that play during cutscenes and all.
But I will say this… if the game still manages to end up looking like that or better on launch day then DICE may have some serious competition on their hands xD The visuals on the right definitely look a lot better I agree.

Now what about these faces, which are in-game. The one you show of BF1 is from a cut-scene, which I personally do not think looks as good as in-game.
I honestly hope this triggers DICE in making a “Battlefield 2” set in WW2, where you can pick from different factions.
Yes, i already know a Battlefield 2 exists and it’s not set in WW2, but would make sense, i guess…
I would prefer a remastered battlefield 1942.
That could do too, or to better say a “Remake” be sure they remake the whole game, calling it the same or maybe moving it ahead of a year, like Battlefield 1943? I don’t know i just want something as a response to this muricanies sht fest
I am pretty sure WW2 will be the setting of the next Battlefield. The only other option is that they will finally do Bad Co’ 3, but that is unlikely. They won’t do a future game like 2142 because they currently have the Star Wars licence for sci-fi entries, and modern has been done to death.
Expect WW2 next for sure. (and CoD will have nothing to do with their decision in the matter)
Hopefully!
Batturdfield: World at War?
LOL.
They could do an alternate WWII setting, like they did with WWI. Full-on cyberpunk would be interesting too (dat sweet Prey demo).
Different factions is what matters
Wake me up when you make better faces in seemless 64 player shooter
Even coming from a black guy I find the politically correct stuff being a little enforced lately in some of these games. Blacks were definitely involved in both World Wars and had some major impact (Tuskegee Airmen were known to be some of the best pilots and they were all black men) but considering how unrealistic BF1 was anyway it shouldn’t matter what race is in that game. Why is it that race is a big deal but the female character isn’t?
So you’re basically speculating at this point correct? It’s gone down in history, I looked up all this stuff. They escorted a fleet of bombers against waves of enemy fighters with zero casualties. To date no one has beated their records acording to the sources I read and watched ages ago.
Perhaps I’ll look it up at some point but I’m certain the things you mentioned are just bold claims made by conspiracy theorists in order to hurt people’s credit for their own personal gain.
I watched Boondocks a while back so I’m aware of how the show isn’t meant to be taken seriously. It’s basically the ghetto South Park in some ways. Kinda. 😛
I’m totally stoked for this game. For me it went from 0 to 100 after seeing that trailer 😀 I genuinely haven’t been this intrigued for a video game in ages and it takes a CoD game out of all things lol.. Bare in mind folks that this game will be focusing on a diverse range of characters. They briefly mentioned small info of a female and black character that have yet to be seen. I just don’t want most of you going into some kind of frenzy mode when they appear at some point later on.
I don’t think anybody is surprised by the SJW kraken rearing its many arms anymore. More like tired of it.
Well it wouldn’t be the first WWII CoD game to have a female foot soldier. I remember one of the expansions for the original game on consoles had female sniper. Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing black infantry in the game. Might be my own bias but I’d love to see an accurate depiction of what my kind had to face within that era since they were present during those time periods. But if they were to simply force them in for the sake of pleasing the diverse demographic that play their games then I’d rather not have em in. All it does is create more conflicts within communities and brings out the worst in people.
I’m pretty sure they took from the Russian female sniper of WW2 thats why the sniper was female (Lyudmila Pavlichenko) don’t know if I spelled that wrong. But blacks like us were mostly held back (segregation and all of that junk) in till white soldiers were facing to many causalities and served as combat support groups mainly.
Ah interesting. I imagined she was based of a historical figure or at least inspired by one. And I honestly wouldn’t mind if they depicted their roles in the most realistic way, no matter how minor it is. I doubt anything like that would harm the game, as long as they don’t shove it in our faces lol. I just think if they’re capable of telling a story of a woman who has a decent track record then it should be possible to find a specific figure from other minority groups.
Lol diversity good! Everyone happy!… All jokes aside there really should be no shame in depicting how the real war was like seen through the eyes of unlikely soldiers, right? Some of these people did more beyond cooking, nursing, scrubbing, etc.
No regenerating health is a nice step in the right direction, but I refuse to give ACTIVI$ION $110 for the full game, regardless of if it somehow ends up being good.
(pointing at my eyes then pointing at COD WWII) We’ll see!!
Graphically, that is amazing. I just hope they improve the gameplay.
“What this basically means is that players will have to ask their squad to throw them a new magazine to use in case they run out of ammo.”
My attempt to be impressed by this has utterly failed.
I’m sorry 🙁
Not.
The fact they are going with a Sony money deal tells me that I shouldn’t bother with this CoD either. I haven’t touched the series since Blops and that was nearly 7 years ago.
The mroe they want to focus on just one console, the more I’ll end up supporting other games instead, no skin off my nose.
It does sound familiar, doesn’t it….
Hm…….
this will be my first call of duty after call of duty 3, i hope weapon sound design is not as trash as previous call of duty titles, otherwise i’m not buying it
Looks like a Brothers in Arms sequel.
The edgy philosophy majors are going to get triggered big time by all the American patriotism here. Good for EA not SJWing this series up.
However, it looks like just another COD to me, but the gullible marks are hyped for it, apparently, like they’re hyped for Battlefront 2. They don’t learn.
Amazing what you can achieve, when your annual cash cow starts to lose money. It doesn’t look too bad imo.
World War 2… finally.
I’m positively surprised by the fact that they will get rid of health regeneration. It’ll be the second CoD without it.
