Take a look at Chrono Trigger’s Black Omen being recreated in Unreal Engine

YouTube’s ‘Fickle Fascination’ has released a video, showing Chrono Trigger’s Black Omen flying temple being recreated in Unreal Engine. Fickle Fascination used Maya in order to model all the objects and Substance Painter in order to texture them. It looks kind of cool and since we are not getting a Chrono Trigger remake anytime soon, we’re pretty sure that its fans will find it kind of interesting (even though it does not show much). Enjoy!

        1. Ha! I was able to figure that out w.o asking you first!
But yeah, Sqeenex is insane about what they will and won’t bring to the platform. They just need to remember that final fantasy isn’t the only series they’ve ever developed. It would be easy money, I’d even take a chibi head version like they did with final fantasy 3 & 4.

          1. Well if you ever get the jones too bad, you can always play some I am Setsuna. It’s very, obvious on of their goals was to channel Chrono Trigger in IaS. Some of the moves are eXactly the same, double, triple techs, even the same combos lifted from CT. My main frustration with IaS is, while it’s great to channel all that CT goodness with combat system and somewhat w/ the art style, but it falls way way short when it comes to world and story. You start off in winter and that’s pretty much it as far as world variety goes. One of the awesome things about CT was you be anywhere and anywhen. Take a trip to a post apocalyptic future – check. Wanna go party with cavem3n in the prehistoric age, got that covered too. While w/ IaS it’s welcome to the white forest..now play in the white forest.. keep on.. keep on.. All the same I’m going to make a effort to do a complete play-through
