Slightly Mad Studios has revealed that it plans to release an early version of Project CARS 2 this September. Project CARS 2 was originally announced back in 2015, and it appears that over these past few months a number of screenshots were leaked online. Below you can find the first screenshots from Project CARS 2, leaked by Polish members of Simrace. Enjoy!

They look alright, nothing we have not seen before in a racing game.
There will be new feature: Tesselated Air 😉
looks..meh
unless this game can compete with Forza or Gran Turismo I could care less
So no kickstarter campaign this time?
Idk about you, but when I tried PC on my friend’s PC, it seemed to be neither fish(entertaining rather simple arcade/simcade) nor fowl (simulation with deep customization and elaborated physics model) and despite all the shiny gfx I just couldn’t get myself to keep playing.
so far, only racing games are getting CGI level of Graphic.. its cool but.. when will we see this type of graphic in other games?
The lighting looks better, but the snow…
i hope it will be playable witth amd gpu’s this time (anyway with freesync it might be ) .
Read somewhere they have totally re-done their rendering engine. Hopefully that means it will use AMD hardware properly. I don’t see them having much choice as they need to make it look better than the original but are going to be running on the same console hardware as before. I’m a PC user too but hopefully the consoles kind of force the better optimization for AMD cards. DX12 works well on AMD too so hopefully that is supported from day one.
I hope it will be better for everyone but i cant believe it untill it is proven ( i really see how bad it works with AMD gpu’s and well i dont trust them for now, my gpu is running underclocked with @60/80% gpu usage with a i7 when i play it )
But even if it run badly, ( if it is nvidia sponsored with dirty tricks against amd + dx11 it might ) with a good freesync monitor ( with 30hz minimum as the minimum range ) it will be good, i’ll play it, (the sim is still very good with a stering wheel and freesync fix the fps problems ).
Which one is better??this or asseto corsa???
Asseto Corsa ofc.
Project Cars by a million miles. Unfortunately, not to many cars over AC.
Definitely AC, but honestly fun factor wise forza horizon 3 beats both of them. Project cars i got bored with almost instantly and while i was very impressed by the simulation and sound of assetto corsa, it got boring after a while as well.
the fun factor depends on the user, some people who really love driving cars and making better timings on each course, will still love asseto. Forza is for the more casuals i think.
drive club
Asseto Corsa by a million miles
I want career like the one in Shift 2 Unleashed. Also, they need to recapture the sensation of speed that made the Shift series awesome.
I want a career too, so i can afford to pay rent.
Agreed on the need for that sense of speed, really lacking in Pcars so misses that fun factor. That is my main concern really, everything else I think will be good.
Yeah MUST have been. That is the only explanation right?
F*ck sake people on this website sometimes…
I hope the shooting elements are on point.
Cough Battlefield 1 couhg
I’m willing to say that 99% of people who play this, have no concept of how many options these guys gave us with regards to wheels and G-forces. These guys set the bar. Now that they have millions in the piggy bank, I would expect this to set the standard this time around. And If those photo’s are any indication of what to expect, the game moving must look incredible! Really looking forward to this game, any new info is highly anticipated on this front. The FFB with a butt kicker gamer 2 connected to my seat and vibrations in the wheel really make for an extremely immersive experience. Cant wait to see how they incorporate Rally!
Jesus, I was impressed until I saw the “volumetric” clouds. They look like play doh.
These are likely pre-alpha shots.
lol its a pre-alpha at this stage. Tards judging it like its the final game
i hope they gonna make this less cpu bound…project cars was hammering my cpu so bad in harsh weather and with lots of car
Hard to do with all the physics requirements I guess. But if they do support dx12 that may allow for better use of more cores. Certainly hope they do anyway, that or Vulcan.
The photo with rain only on the front but not a drop on right window.
The photos are beatifull, but the game for real is ot much improved graphicaly, hope that the use dx12 to its full extent to make better use of multiple cores.
if it runs bad on AMD cards again not even trying it…
Project cars don’t need to be downgraded the first wasn’t.
Racing games are easier to deal with in graphics options than most games because of it predictability. If anything will be downgraded it could be he processor intensive simulation. I just hope they are able to optimize it without downgrading.
