  1. This has to be my most regrettable purchase in a while, Just No 3 ran, and looked terrible to me. Just Cause 2 was, and still is great fun though.

    1. Yep same here, JC2 is one of my all time most cherished games so you can imagine JC3 was once my anticipated game of the year. As it turned out it was nothing but a complete nightmare as no matter what I did the game would run horrendously that or the UI would randomly disappear on me mid game so I couldn’t bring up the map or even exit the game. I wanted to play it so much I blindly splashed out on a brand new GPU and PSU and it made little to no difference at all and shows just how broke the game was and remains to this day. JC3 now sits in my Steam trash list alongside Arkham Knight and remains one of my biggest gaming regrets ever. £39.99 for a game I barely got to play since it released a year ago. Here’s a video I made of just how much grief it caused me at release…

      1. Saddest part of all?

People think this sh*t’s been fixed, because “well, it’s been a year…..”

Yeah, you’d think, right? But nope! Avalanche was too busy pumping out paid DLC’s. instead, & pretending this can all be fixed by simply “upgrading your RAM to 16GBs.”

      1. Ridiculous. Even many top-end rigs have issues with Just Cause 3. Yes, it’s true that some people saw a performance improvement by upgrading to 16GBs of RAM, but it didn’t universally solve the problem for everyone “just like that” the way the developers claim it did.

I’m seriously getting tired of people just replying with “get better hardware” when stuff like this shows up. How do you even know he doesn’t already have a GTX 1080 & 32 GB’s of RAM to go with it, ffs?

        1. It’s funny because those that cry “get better HW” are shown up by benchmarks, random people on Youtube showing off their GTX 1080’s, those frigging £600+ CPU’s and 500+ CPU’s that cannot bend those console port jobs to their knees. I’ts become so obvious this gen that raw power isn’t going to cut it anymore, it’s now devs doing such a bad job that raw power cannot fix what they break.

          1. Exactly. If we all just bow down to such devs saying “hey get more ram, get a better cpu then you can play our game! etc” we’re basically just opening the flood gates for even worse optimised games to come instead and things are bad enough already in that department.

Mafia III I bought and couldn’t even play due to owning a Phenom based CPU but I sure as hell wasn’t going to buy a whole new CPU/MOBO just for the privilege to do so when they could have brought out a simple SSE 4.1 patch instead. Meanwhile I’m playing other new games at 1080p 60fps without breaking a sweat.

If devs who get our cash don’t care about us why the hell should we care about them?

      2. Sorry dude but no. The game is simply poorly optimised if it needs anywhere near 16GB just to get a decent experience out of it. The simple fact is the game was released and then as Zatara said did nothing but concentrate on paid extras when the main game was still utterly broken for so many. That aint right however you cut it.

    1. that’s much better than what may happen if you kept playing. corrupted save is something much darker that was waiting for you

    1. Your question comes off like you’re disrespecting them for taking 1 year. It’s a small group and developing Multiplayer in a game designed for only Single Player isn’t a simple task.

  2. my average fps in just cause 3 is 115, my 290x/4770k rig runs it stable 60fps with no aa, your pc is trash, get a better pc peasant

  3. I for one would have to agree with the other guy. I ran it on both a i5 2500k at 4.5ghz paired with a GTX 970 and never dropped below 60 and can run it now on my i7 6700k paired with a GTX 1070 and never drops below 100fps.

I think it can down to luck of the draw as to who could run it a well and who couldn’t.
