Electronic Arts has released a new screenshot from Mass Effect: Andromeda. Mass Effect: Andromeda is powered by the Frostbite 3 Engine and looks quite amazing. The game is currently planned for an early 2017 release. In addition, more information (and most probably new gameplay videos) will be revealed this November during N7 Day. Enjoy!

I played the trilogy like a month or so ago (all 3 in a row and never played them before) and yeah, the ending was not that bad at all in the 3rd game (the “fixed” one is what I saw).
Without giving any spoiler is hard to debate if it was well put together or not, but in my opinion it was right after all the things I did in the game (personal choices and such).
The best and most rich of the 3 games is Mass Effect 2, great cast of characters and cool story with tons of side missions related to them.
Hope exploration in Andromeda delivers, it was fun to drive that Mako in the first one.
I didn’t find it lame. I liked it. Don’t know what the fuss was all about back then.
well I played it before the patch but – it didn’t make any sense for one.Also, it threw out all the lore and fiction of the entire series and replaced it with something completely unrelated, in 10 minutes.
Then there’s the fact that the ending itself played and looked like it was made by a different, less experienced team. Must have been a rushed change or something. Giant plotholes, massive contrivances, just downright poor storytelling technique, no closure etc. The quality of that section is abysmal in every way compared to the rest of the game.
In my mind, it’s fairly obvious that no one intended for that ending. Then during development something went wrong. Maybe it was changed and rushed last minute after the leak. I don’t know what happened, but logically, I find it hard to believe that the same creative process behind the rest of the series (and 99% of ME3) was behind this ending.
I remember seeing some fuss about the ending on a review, and I was like “Typical… obsessive people complaining about closure or character deaths or whatever”. IGN called the ending ‘fitting’, and in my mind, I knew 100% it was going to be a great ending, so I thought nothing of it. I played the game, absolutely loved it. Then the ending hit…
Suffice to say I’d be happier if they abruptly cut the game off before the last ten minutes.

Anyhow, I’m still super excited for future ME games, and I’m certain that Bioware will deliver. ME is still one of the best series for me (ME2 being my favourite game of all time)

I wish no man’s sky looked the good. Not sure if it’s the limitations of voxel graphics, or the lighting style used in No Man’s Sky, but everything has a look like it’s painted styrofoam that has been carved up to make a set

haha, I’ve only ever seen footage of Star Citizen, as I am waiting until it officially launches, at least it’s single player content. This new Mass Effect has a certain look to it that I am becoming familiar with because EA is pushing all their games on the Frostbite engine. It’s not bad looking, Frostbite 3 games are almost like the HD generations version of UE 3 games were back during xbox360ps3 era. It’s able to give a good picture quality, but I still feel certain proprietary engine games (Red Engine Witcher3) can look better. Star Citizen is a CryTek engine game right? I feel Cry Tek can be amazing in the hands of an experienced developer. Ryse is still better looking than most games hitting the market imo
Cry engine is indeed a powerful engine which, when properly coded/optimized, can offer very nice graphics coupled with good performances. I could say the same for. UE4 and FB3. But at the end of the day, the game is only as beautiful/smooth as the devs make it.
Most of the time publishers rush the devs to push the game out the door half baked. We’ve seen this many times. 🙁

IMO an employee is very well representative of his/her company thus actions on their behalf will also impact on that company’s reputation. The fact that the guy is racist isn’t my main concern, but it’s Biowares attitude towards it, or rather their inability to take action or their passivity towards it.

Thanks, and yes. I can only speak for what I think and what I believe and I know that others agree with me, I simply can’t support a company that thinks racism is ok. How ever Bioware sees it, their entire reputation is hurting by this situation and that’s a fact. It’s still “one person” yes, but a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. I think reputation is a critical piece in most companies and receiving the image of acceptance towards racism is a big deal to many, despite the quality of their products.

I think its safe to bet that an interstellar futuristic sci-fi game should have different types of aliens in it, but comparing that to the current racial hate and the actual influence these disgusting people have on anything is a bit of a stretch don’t you think? It’s because the general graphics are not made for 720p/1080p anymore, but rather tailored for not making the PS4 Pro crawl on its knees when running on their fancy reconstruction tech 😀 People tend to think that the PS4 Pro is in fact favoring PC gaming and the advancement of graphics, but the truth is the opposite. Why? Because substantial sacrifices has to be made when trying to push more pixels, simple as that.
