3D artist recreates Resident Evil’s Mansion Hall in Unreal Engine 4

3D artist ‘B.O.W. Qin‘ has been working on a recreation of Resident Evil’s Mansion Hall in Unreal Engine 4, and has released some screenshots from it. B.O.W. Qin did an amazing work as this recreation does look great. What’s also interesting here is that B.O.W. Qin aims to release a demo for this map so that everyone can explore the environment. We’ll be sure to share the map once it becomes available but until then, enjoy the following screenshots!

  1. It’s funny how people critique a single persons work using Unreal4 when they should be praising their effort with graphic fidelity next to what whole developer teams produce under Unreal4 🙂

    1. Lol looks fairly like the original REmake game just at a higher rendered resolution.

This is essentially an entire game engine being put into one small room. Isn’t it quite stunning what the dev team could do with this room 15 years ago then? 15 years, think Crash Bandicoot 2 and then Uncharted 2, what a leap. Is this on the same level as that?

What do you think the original dev team would be capable of today if they made a small area with loading times between each room?

  2. Thank goodness you named it that. Hate it when these articles say for example “ASSASSINS CREED IV RECREATED IN UNREAL ENGINE 4″……………………….by showing the inside of a bar because that is Assassin’s Creed IV, no massive open world ocean outside the bar or anything.
Like this http://gameranx.com/updates/id/22707/article/assassin-s-creed-black-flag-recreated-in-cryengine/ (lol just realised I commented on that article 2 years ago ranting about that too.
