Well this is at an unoptimized state at the time so it should improve overtime… r-right?
A game that is barely even a demo (more a proof of concept) won’t get optimizations obviously.
Its using Unity engine…so…..nope…
nasty
Hopefully this means theyll pack the whole game with the details they put in the demo.
Sh*ts amazing.
Well the demo is shorter than the original demo so we will see if they manage it, btw doom is 700k. cry some more.
Lol, they put it on 30% sale after it sold like sh*t and you’re telling me to cry?
Im laughing my a*s off
Those specs are for the DEMO
Its time to add another part of 8 gigs.. 🙂
Yeah 😀 same
2 GB available space?
And to think people said 16 GB would be redundant.
It might well be. A lot of times games recommend more RAM than necessary just in case.
Right, who knows?
But for Star Citizen, I’m sure it’s necessary.
Good thing I jumped the shark and went with an unusable 32GB RAM. lol
It may be usable, if you’d like to have 3 Star Citizens running at once.
Ramdisk broham
I know I’ve looked into that a few times, never ended up doing it. Any suggested software?
I guess i could buy a 8gb upgrade. i was holding off until i really needed it. Ram is pretty cheap anyway.
DX11 only, what a surprise..
16gigs of ram on dx11 title LOL, something is going on here.
8GB RAM Minimum… Unity Engine….
Please be a Win10 only and don’t forget Denuvo.
agreed. this game looks like true kino, dont want casuals, reditards, or pirates touching it.
RTFA? It’s a short article ffs. Clearly says Windows 7 through 10. 4 people upvoted you? lol
Mannnnnn it’s just srcsm, i don’t give a 5#!7 about this game, the System Requirements is WTF.
Look guys this 8gb nonsense is getting on my nerve RECOMMENDED 16 GB.
Ok how about i get 84 gb just to be safe?
8GB can get saturated pretty easily these days.
Unoptimized at this stage. Things will improve as the game enters in final stages of development.
16 GB of RAM recommended. Only 2 GB of hard drive space… Progress.
So what I’m understanding is that my 670, which can play alien isolation at 1440p and 60fps at max settings, won’t be able to run this in a similar fashion. Haven’t seen anything from this game warranting such a high requirement.. except unity I guess.
Bingo, unity is the problem.
Good, more people being able to play it the better, especially when it’s not locked to one OS.
Better than it being locked to Win 10 only.
Had it been using Vulkan I would agree, but it;s using neither as far as things go, I’d rather have access to the game than not having access at all in this case I can access it on my current OS without having to erase my current one for a different OS.
Is building a game in Unity so much easier than say in UE or Cry(like a prom queen on an anime fan)Engine and that’s the main reason behind using that demanding engine?
The requirements are quite ridiculous for what I see on the screen.
What sticks out the most is HDD/RAM/VRAM ratio in recommended specs – 16 GB RAM ; 2 GB HDD ; 4 GB VRAM.
I’m no tech savvy Unity developer so could someone explain it to a dilettante like me?
yeah, its called update your pc you casual. finally a game comes along pushing pc specs and graphics and people cry about it………. ugh….. obvious new pc player jumping on the meme bandwagon. go back to your console, okay kiddo?
Oh, shut up. now making ridiculous system requirements means pushing PC specs and graphics ? looks like you are a new pc player and forget about optimization and lazy devs. brute forcing your way in is not pushing anything, it’s just bad coding specially for a game that don’t look that good (Hitman or most AAA game out there or even SS Demo) to begin with.
He even upvoted his own comment lol dudes pathetic.
He always upvote himself, lol
>pushing pc specs and graphics
>Unity Engine
Pick one.
someone couldnt run the demo.
Because it makes little business sense not to include dx9, considering there’s still a huge amount of people out there that can’t run dx11.
16 gb ram lol, higher than open world Witcher 3
cant afford 8 more gigs of ram? ddr4 8 gb goes for like 25-30 bucks….
Nope, there are no good Unity games out there, and alpha was just an unoptimized mess even on high end hardwares. please end yourself re*ard.
