Back in December 2015, we informed you about a number of games that were rumoured to be coming to the PC. Among those titles were Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture (a game that is already available on Steam) and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. And from the looks of it, Square Enix is gearing up for a Steam announcement regarding this remaster of Final Fantasy X/X-2.
As we can see below, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was added to a Steam sub, something that may hint towards an official announcement about it.
Our guess is that Square Enix will officially unveil Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for the PC.
Still, this is just a hunch so take it with a grain of salt. Yes, we were right about Dawn of War 3, however this does not mean that we will always be right… right?
Stay tuned for more!

Won’t be surprised at all. Square Enix has been systematically releasing every main console Final Fantasy game on Steam and with Final Fantasy IX being the lastest release, Final Fantasy X/X-2 were the next logical choice. I think Final Fantasy XII will also come to Steam before we get Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Yes i think too, maybe they gonna release 12 after x and before xv…
all roads lead to XV
i dont think there is any doubt about that.
finally this is the one i want.
Awwwh yes please!
Only been 15 years guess I can wait a little longer.
the beginning of the downfall of the series
That was VII.
I’ll pirate it first and only buy it when it’s reasonably discounted, they treat PC as a second hand market so I’ll do the same with them. Great news anyway!
im with you
I don’t condone piracy but SE should really stop skimping on the PC market if they want a good market base and profits.
if it does not have denuvo.
Then I won’t pay for it. Period.
Day 1 for me even i already finish it on console twice…
That would be cool, I recently tried a playthrough of ff x on a ps2 emulator but even with the advantages those offer found the simplistic models and low res textures to be getting in the way of immersion, so an official release of the HD remaster would be a guaranteed sale for me.
Although to be honest I would still prefer them to work on the FF VII remake and XV as a PC release. I know thier focus is currently consoles but from I’ve read their engine /target quality level is a little much for the current crop of consoles to handle leading to drops in the low 20’s frame rate wise. I think they are banking on the PS Neo offering them breathing room to having that game run in an ideal state, but that shouldn’t be thier only recourse when there is a gigantic pool of PC hardware that is 2x or more powerfull than the current gen’s and can let them make a game that graphically shines the way they want it to
At least they said theyre gonna work on it but a higher quality version made from the ground up just for PC. I gotta give them respect for that at least. But hey, its coming right? lol
GOD DAMN FINALLY
i really hope so because this is the game i wanted to play many, many years ago.
Now, this is just a step towards the linchpin… Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System
We are getting there. Almost done. As for FFXV? Well, they’d be mad not to already be working on a final PC build
Please make it happen. I remember people talking down about these games at release but they were my first FF games and I loved them. X is still top 3 for me (VII, Tactics Advance).
Now all we need is Kingdom Hearts 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8.
