Medium settings, No AA. Random drops to 30fps. Specs are 4670K, GTX 970, 16GB Ram.
Wow…
Has a game with bad performance ever been successfully patched to actually run well? I can’t think of any.
Top of my mind is Skyrim
Neither can I.
Actually the first week of the witcher 2 was just dreadful performance. Albeit the fix came from a driver but it went form a steady 20 to 60 fps which was shocking.
There has been a few. I would have to dig but I’ve been around a long time and have seen it happen though not as often as I wish. Usually the fixes are due to an extreme lapse where they missed something and it caused a problem. General perf improvements are usually in the 10-25% range which is still decent but won’t make a crap running game run great.
I know this isn’t a perfect solution, but try disabling VSync in game and enable dynamic VSync in NVCP. For whatever reason, whenever the frame rate drops below 60, the game automatically locks it at 30FPS.
Thanks a lot that has improved it by quite a lot.
It’s never died that is how v-sync has always worked. It’s usually in the 30,45,60 increments. Devs usually have a trick to counter it like tripe buffering.
Sorry to hear your performance is that bad, have you downloaded the patches on Stream?. I am using an overclocked TitanX so the game should run well on my card, however I am running all settings maxed out down sampled from 3135x1764p to my native resolution of 2560x1440p and the game is running locked at 60fps 99.9% of the time so seeing as you are using the same architecture as me you should be getting better performance than that mate.
GeForce Game Ready 364.47 WHQL driver has been released
Thanks for the heads up
Sweet. Will buy eventually.
SLI enabled? No? Ok then.
no thank sh*t game next
I have just started playing the game tonight and it is a lot of fun mate, you should give it a try. I paid £26 on Steam and feel it has been worth it. It’s running downsampled from 3135x1764p to my native 1440p with all settings maxed out at 60fps and looks a lot better than the youtube videos which made it look hardly any better than Just Cause2.
Well that’s a start, but without SLI support I still wont buy the game.
I am currently playing Just Cause 3 right now and have stopped for a cup of coffee however I am finding the loading times to be very long and I am using an SSD with i7 5820k and 16gb DDR4 so I cannot imagine how bad the load times were before the game was patched. Or how bad the load times would have been on my old hard drive which was s-l-o-w.
no dx12? I will play the DLC another time XD
