Just Cause 3 feature 2

Just Cause 3 – Official PC Requirements Revealed, Will Use NVIDIA GameWorks Features [UPDATE]

Just Cause 3 releases next week and its official PC requirements have been unveiled. In addition, it was revealed that the game will be powered by NVIDIA’s GameWorks features, though it’s still a mystery what kind of features will be implemented. Our guess is that PC gamers can expect HBAO+ to be used, as well as TXAA. We don’t know whether or not Avalanche will use exclusive NVIDIA effects like the Turbulence Smoke effects that were used in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Kudos to Reddit’s member ‘lesi20‘ for sharing the following image that reveals both the game’s PC requirements, as well as the presence of NVIDIA’s GameWorks features.

Update:

Avalanche has revealed the “new” official PC requirements for Just Cause 3. The team recommends a GTX780 (instead of a GTX760) and a R9 290 (instead of a R9 280X).

          1. Ohh look at you, full of yourself yet you post shallow comments. How controversial. Maybe if you didn’t think that your opinions were facts people would be inclined to understand your PoV.

From all my heart. Good night honey.

  1. Similar or almost the same requirements as Arkham Knight lol.. Hope it’s well optimized, at least without Game(not)Works.. 🙂

      1. There’s always one who has to make dumb gameworks comment. If you can’t run game works, turn them off. It’s that simple. I can’t run them always either. And guess what? The games run better. Shocking I know, who would think fancy visual effects use more GPU power?

    1. Seeing how it’s using the same engine as Mad Max, it’ll probably run great if you just turn all that crap off.

      1. its still going to have problems as any game works game does,im sure in a few days we will es”just cause 3 game ready drivers”and it will still run like crap on pc. nvidia hasnt even started to force you to use game works yet.the not till dec.

        1. Ok. And how many problems was really connected with gameworks? Please be specific and not general because in general it is just trolling..

        2. Gameworks has nothing to do with Geforce experience. So no, they’re not forcing you to enable it. I’ve been seeing a lof of your comments lately and man you’ve got facts wrong sometimes. Maybe do a little research before posting ? You can do that research on your console if you want, it’s a hassle, but do-able.

          1. i do get stuff wrong im human.loland yes gameworks has nothing to do with the Geforce experience but the Geforce experience will have locked drivers behind it.and game works games run bad at launch.
            history says so.

          2. Not only gameworks games. But unfortunately the most of them and it doesn’t matter if there is gameworks used or not. If you understand what gameworks features really do, you wouldn’t wrote such general comments like this. Gameworks are only optional graphical features. If they are of and game run bad, it’s not because of this library. If you want to really do objective critics, you wouldn’t do that with general claims. You have to be specific and say what exactly is wrong and why. Problem is that many people doesn’t understand how gameworks features work and blame them from something which they can’t influence. You should realise that gameworks features are only small part of the game engine. So please tell me exactly what gamework feature caused problem in the specific game and why do you think so. And remember pure existence and usage of it is not argument.

          3. lets see ac unity, batman used game works right?..need i say more.
nvidia the way it meant not to be played..lol

          4. These 2 games were bugfest and it didn’t matter if gameworks features were on or off. Do you see the difference? I said tell us which problems were caused by gameworks features. And be specific. I still think you don’t know these features are using for. There are many other games which use Gameworks and they run like the others without them.

          5. locked drivers, i guess you dont have to worry about that cuz you gots a console. you’ve ever ran geforce xp? it not like some magical program that needs 16gb of ram to boot. its impact is negligible, matter of fact, set it up to update regularly, gonna have to download the updated drivers anyways

          6. you mean that you didnd know that you HAVE to have game works to at least get day 1 game ready drivers..lol have fun with your nvidia fail.

          7. ?? i just don’t know what to say to that illogical mumbojumbo, your gonna have to download a patch as well, don’t care what system you got, its how it is. just sayin.

    2. At least start complaining when the game comes out. The game could turn out absolutely perfect. Mad Max is one of the most optimized PC games ever and it was made by these same developers so I have high hopes for Just Cause 3 on PC as well.

      1. true that.ill wait till it comes out.but dont you see a pattern now with nvidia and game works?.game works announcement, game ready drivers, game launches bad.dont you see that pattern now???

        1. gameworks or not, most games get a day one patch right off the bat. and this goes as well for consoles which really makes no sense cause all they have to program for is one exactly the same enviorment, ps4/3 xbone/360, they been doing this for quite sometime now.

  2. Wow. These are a lot lower than I original thought. That’s good. The only problem I have is that it will be yet another GameWorks title.

  4. Oh look, another negativity comment from you. Wow. Try something for me. Tell your boyfriend to touch you dong a little, that frustration has to come out.

    Love you.

  5. Mad max worked for me perfectly at max settings 4K DSR 60 FPS when i bought it only 2 weeks after release! This will too! Cant wat for it!! Also will it use Denuvo DRM?

  6. I would love to know the opinion of a nvdia gameworks devs about all the bashing around the tech. Maybe they are thinking way ahead of today techs… who knows.
I only hope that next nvidia card AND amd card crush 4k with gameworks on.
I miss the days when a dedicated ageia card was something to really look at.

  7. Your idea of running and mine are very different.

20-30fps at maybe 1080p, possibly 900p or a dynamic resolution with medium settings, not my idea of running

  8. Oh well…still the game overall is using Havok physics model. So it will still have great physics and destruction with less of a performance impact as if using PhysX (check Arma III physics and its performance…) or GameWorks.

Nvidia is paying a lot to include their crap in all PC ports/games.

I rather see proper physics simulated in engine rather than this add-ons that only makes your frame rates go down. Like Cryengine and Frostbite do.

    1. they didnt win the consoles like amd did. they are sticking their nose in pc games to screw over amd. they are still salty about the consoles deal.. lol. thats why i get most AAA titles on console so they work. physics should not be required in games. it is to screw over amd owners. i get good optimized titles on pc and some AAA titles on console.

thats how i have always done it. and now more then ever with the bad nvidia game gorks titles like ac unity batman ect.. they ran fine on console and thats where i played them. good pc games like mmo’s like wow i play on pc.

  9. it runs mad max’s engine google max max gtx 660 sc its runs good with that game i have the evga gtx 660 sc. and star wars battle front fine on it. so im guessing this game will to.
