Midgar Studio has released two new screenshots for Edge of Eternity. Edge of Eternity is an indie tribute to JRPG classics offering a universe blending fantasy with science-fiction, intense ATB battles and branching story. The game is inspired by the great JRPG tradition for the strategical turn-based combats and the characters progression, and its OST is handled by Chrono Trigger’s composer, Yasunori Mitsuda. Enjoy!

I see mediocre graphics masked with blooms/aberrations there.
If that’s mediocre, you have standards that are too high. I’m not saying that the graphics are the best out there, but it’s most likely going to suffer a downgrade because we still haven’t had a game launch that looks that good.
Either way, those screenshots are nowhere near “mediocre”. I’d put them somewhere above high, but nothing ultra fancy.
We’ll see but somehow I feel the graphics are artificially enhanced there.
MSG 5 came pretty damn close to their reveal/slice. IMO, with jrpgs, graphics are not first on my list. i would probably go: story, game-play then graphics.
We have to wait for Proper Vulcan and/or DX12 New Next-Gen Games.
TBF it’s a Kickstarted indie game. And by those standards it’s near top of the pack.
Some Kickstarter indie games are beautiful, it’s not an alien thing. Look at Everspace or GRIP. They have nice graphics.
looks pretty good. to me the game seems like a Final Fantasy clone. But hey at least it looks like it will have better performance on PC then that FF13 and FF13 X-2 junk on PC. And that newest Vita FF on PC… 30fps? lol…
Haven’t played XIII or XIII-2 but am eagerly awaiting XIII-3 so I can play dress-up with lightning.
if it’s performance is like the others you will sure want a steam refund…
FFXIII-2 performs so poorly that people who didn’t even buy it should get a refund… don’t ask me how that works.
Where’s me refund!
I wouldn’t expect good performance on this game. It runs on Unity engine.
yeah im pretty excited about this one, ill take it even if it is some FF clone. the scenery reminds me of xenoblade. even with all the problems those game still ran better than compared to their console brothers
Looks a lot like Xenoblades, I hope this game has a better combat system than that, and a story which is atleast almost as good as that. Looks good so far.
Yeah, I’m seeing Xenoblade/Star Ocean influences in the art style. In fact it looks more like a Star Ocean game than the upcoming Star Ocean.
The upcoming SO looked pretty SOish to me. Even had the blue-haired hero. And frankly considering how crappy the last one was they’re set up for success by default.
looks way better than it did at the time of announcement. i am still managing my expectations based on the budget they asked for. they obviously have more budget than what they asked for though and they probably just used their kickstarter as something to show their investers but still.
once again DSOgaming is one of the few PC gaming sites that try to cover as many games as possible.
looks good
Looking very awesome.
Looks like a Skyrim mod.
Verdant? Grass on Steroid? Grass Field? Skyrim Flora Overhaul?
Be my guess…
Looks beautiful
Looks gorgeous.
Wooaaaaaaah!
