Aaaaaaaaand we all saw that coming. Rockstar has just announced that the PC version of GTA V is delayed to March 24th. According to the company, the game has been delayed because it requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be.
“Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
Moreover, Rockstar claimed that GTA Online for the PC will support up to 30 players and will be launched alongside GTAV for PC.
Rockstar has also revealed the game’s PC system requirements that are not as ridiculously high as we originally believed. Hell, the game does not even recommend a i7 CPU (contrary to other games)

True. Rockstar never made a benchmark game and considering the amount of time PC gamers waited for this game, these visuals aren’t big improvement over PS4 version. A clear indication that it is a console port. Look at difference between Witcher 2 PC and Xbox 360 , now that’s how you do PC version.

the real reason for the delay? NEW FISCAL YEAR. they don’t have any release planned to 2015 so far and PC sales would really help boost it.
Honestly, that’s probably accurate. Coincidence that current TakeTwo fiscal year ends this march and GTA5 PC releases at the end of March? I think not.
Rather it be a great port like Max Payne 3 than a unoptimized POS we have been given by so many other AAA studios/publishers. If that means delaying it a month of two to make it shine, the so be it.

Just got back from a road trip in Uruguay and damn that’s a great country, and I open my steam account to test the new games that I had bought before I went on Holidays. To be honest, I have so many great games in my account and not enough time to play all, that I don’t even care about GTA 5 that much.
My point is that we should give so much credit to this game, when there are companies/games much better that deserve our attention more.

i dont know if dying light is gonna be a rpg like dead island but dead island wasnt exactly open world, it had hubs.
Mgs has never been open world, so we dont know how open world it will be and how much is kojima over selling it.
Sleeping dogs, prototype, saboteur these are open world games.
Open World = Rich filled open world with lots and lots of side quests.
FO3, Skyrim, Morrowind…even Batman Asylum got better side quests than FC4!
FarCry4 = a sahara desert with a few oasis!

You got yourself multiple main missions for didfirent characters.
You got the outposts which unlock other missions,you go the fortesses and climbing towers which unlock more missions,you got the arena which also has other missions, you got hurk missions, you got sangri la missions.
Its filled with stuff to do.
MGS is always about main missions…so yeah cold be.

Batman arkham city has closssed secions which you have to access later it is more like zelda or metroid or castlevania rather an open world.
It has a lot of collectables to find and repettive sidemissions like ubisoft games so i dont get why they are not similar.

PC gamers should be happy that they are getting the game at all. I mean R* isn’t going to make any money out of it, yet they still make the game for us.
If the 3 dev teams(PC, xbox and PS) would get their paychecks by the revenue of their platform, the console developers would come to work with porsches and ferraris while PC ones would have to travel by bus.

I’m huge fan of the series since the first gta and I bought used 360 just to play gta V when it came out and have to say it was money well spent. Plus now I don’t have to stress myself with the PC release and I can enjoy reading angry comments.

Max payne 3 flopped on all systems and rockstar is idiotic to have spend over a 108 milion on it.
It was made by rockstar vancouver and it had a PC VERSION not a port, rockstar vancouver is not merged with rockstar torronto.
Rockstar north is making the console versions, rockstar torronto ported gta iv on pc.
The reason gta v is talking so long is becasue it is a seperate pc version, or atleast that was the case with the next gen versions, i understand that the pc version needs extra time and it was close to xmas so they had to delay it, but delaying it again?
