Franciszek Golebiowski has been working on a recreation of The Last Of Us’ bar in Unreal Engine 4, and has today released some screenshots from the final version of his map (alongside a flythrough video). It looks pretty interesting, and will give you an idea of what The Last Of Us could look like in Unreal Engine 4. You’re telling me the game that has two iterations, one for each generation of the 2 newest sony consoles is more overrated than a game that has literally been worshiped by people as a game changer for online multiplayer, and the first person shooter genre. The game that has been linked so closely to microsoft that most peoples minds directly jump to it when they hear XBOX. The game that has had at least eight game releases. all of which have highly rated and even more highly accepted with open arms by the gaming community even after a complete split down the middle of the development team & company.

I played this game. And yes, it a good game but its not a 10/10 game. Never. Its not the console seller that people were talking about. We have better games on pc and are not so hyped like this. never played it and saw videos so i can’t judge 100% but it seems like an awesome game but yes it’s not the game of decade or anything. of course many journalists give console exclusives higher scores for different reasons. i doubt any PC exclusive ever got any 10 from anywhere famous and it doesn’t explain PC exclusive’s quality, it explains Journalism’s nature.
one the the PC exclusives that got lots of praise in recent years was Gone Home which is an insult. it is a good “game” or experience or w/e you want to call it but there are different reasons that it got praised…most of them are not related to it’s quality :).
when i saw the halo 2 ratings i laughed my a*s off, did they even play far cry hl2 or doom 3 that were available at the time?
Halo is no match for HL or Doom. what they did for the industry is just… too much. Halo is mostly remembered as a platform seller. although i am biased on this one cause i never liked Halo. i probably enjoy it more if i play now but somehow i still feel that it won’t be as good as many Journalists suggest.

Ehh sure I guess, not a bad game by any means. It had a pretty bad stealth system, and a mediocre story. But the survival elements of the game was good and the storytelling and presentation was excellent.
thats because the stealth system is supposed to be like real life, i,e built upon being in and breaking the line of site, so simple yet somewhat realistic, the AI sometimes is what is questionable rather than the actual system. the story was NOT mediocre, but meh each to their own.
Another problem I had with the game, it took itself way to seriously and as a result all this “realistic” stuff took away from the gameplay. AI ehh was alright, I actually am one of the people that though Ellie doing what she did around enemies while your human was fine. How was the story not mediocre? It was a pretty generic story of people trying to survive in anotherpost-apocalyptic world, it was well told, but it wasn’t a good story.

There is nothing on the consoles so far that’s unique and diverse and quite a few of the games are just last-gen games or games that have been on the PC for months to years.

when it comes to indies, of course those are PC ports or some that are coming out on both systems, Console games like LBP, heavy rain, Pupeteer, Tearaway, the countless mario games, Bayonetta, wonderful 101 these are just games i can think from the top of my head, that all have a nice budget behind them but show diversity from the typical FPS, not saying indies are bad because i actually love indie games, but im just giving examples.

Sunset Overdrive just looks like another endless monster shooter, shooting hoards of enemies. The only unique feature is that you can what looks like skateboard on lines around the city, similar to Bioshock Infinite rails just that it’s in third person.
It’s basically very like Infamous Second Son, even with constant babbling of the main character and endless combat.
yeah pretty much, the ponies compare it with infamous because of gliding but as far as the missions and narrative go its more similar to saints row iv, weapons too.
The graphics are not impressive, the art style and the level design are nice but other than that its not graphically impressive.
Would be nice to get a pc version.

Yes and no it’s nowhere near ultra settings, LOD,, foliage distance, mirror quality, image quality, SSAO are all lower than the ultra PC version. The mirrors on the PC are intensive, so intensive that they cut them right back on the PS4 as you can see and as the video does on, the light meshes pop in on the floor from the mirror reflections.
Also, look at the guy in the suit on the left hand side, PC has better LOD right there. PS4 is 60fps though but it doesn’t keep it all the time but hey it’s a last-gen game.

it affect your gaming experience peasant. as hirai said you might not get more AAA games this gen because it’s not happenning, it’s more expensive and develope time is twice than before, and guess what ? sony can’t afford it like before. when they bleeding money this bad, they can’t invest more on AAA games.
you were wrong again, most people have the same hardware as me, less or slightly more only 5% or less pay for top end hardwares. how you can say your laptop is better than my system ? you know what is my specs ? of course not, you don’t even know the difference, i didn’t called you a peasant because i have a more powerful pc or not, i called you a peasant because of your logic, which you don’t have. it most be hard for you people, i know, pc is too complicated for you and suddenly paying for online services is good for peasants, you know it has perks, lol. yeah paying for a service which is down half of it’s life time is one of those perks.
