AMD has released a two hours video (in two parts) from its recent event that was held to celebrate the company’s 30 years. During that event, AMD invited a number of game developers and showed a small demo from Civilization: Beyond Earth, talked a bit more about its new API, Mantle, and has overclocked an FX CPU at 8Ghz. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Unfortunately, AMD only become relevant in the market after buying ATI when it comes to graphics. Thankfully though ,nether NVIDIA or Intel can beat AMD on value for money for their hardware.
Agreed
Yep, just happy Intel & Nvidia have competition.
Still inbetween whether I should stick with Intel/Nvidia or Jump ship for my next build, I know ATI/AMD are more bang for your buck but my 3 year old i5 2400 and GTX 560 are still performing to my every needs.
I have both the 560 and 560 Ti, and i can’t agree more! They can run anything you give them.
It depends on your requirements and your bank balance. I don’t have any other hobbies really so when I do spend on hardware, which isn’t very often, I go with Nvidia/Intel every time.
