*Hoping that this game “kickstart” things around here, this bloody government needs to learn the potential of games as a alternative form of art, entertainment, communication and education.
*I say hoping but this is Brazil, so is high unlikely that we’ll ever learn something. :/
It’s not easy to be any kind of gamer here. PC gaming compensate in the software side, but even then things can get pretty iffy.
What about PC hardware? Is it hard to come by in Brazil, or expensive?
Overall it is expensive, you can get lucky if you do some research but, the best way it is to import. The thing is, it is also subjective because it is not just about the price per say, we have to consider the base salary and taxes (around 60% of the price), and well… the government just can’t get enough of this last one (I just remembered, there was this guy once, he was one of the first to step up against the abusive price of games here (70% of the price is just taxes), then he won a government role and went ahead trying to approve a project to tax digitally distributed games too, with the excuse that it was to improve the national economy).
I’m sorry to hear that. High taxes are the whip of the government and the people the slaves 🙁
Ronald Reagan lowered taxes here in the states and there was an explosion of industry and job growth. When people are grossly taxed they keep their money close to their chest, but when people are free to spend their money they do so vigorously, and wisely. After all, what’s the point of money if you can’t spend it?
This game could use a couple more animators and artists. But, good luck to them all the same 🙂
lmfao The Last Guardian has been in development so long it’s inspiring other games that will be finished before it is!
