Ubisoft and Nvidia have released a new set of screenshots from the PC version of Watch_Dogs. According to the green team, these shots were taken at max details. In addition, Nvidia revealed that free copies of Watch_Dogs will be offered with the purchase of a number of Nvidia GTX cards for a limited time. They have already re-compared recent PC footage to the E3 2012 footage, with significant improvements. The issue you’re referring to was in relation to the PS4 trailer that people thought was for the PC. The PS4 version doesn’t look quite as nice.

Shadowfall and Infamous SS are the only technically impressive games on the PS4 and even those are not new. This has got to be the worst generation start for consoles, yet they’re more easier then ever to programme for and yeah full price remakes are laughable.

No. Naughty Dog isn’t going anywhere, Uncharted isn’t going anywhere, no Sony studios have been shut down this gen. Sony is going to be fine financially, they’re taking the right steps.
You forget Sony has 15+ first party studios, there’s bound to be layoffs and people leaving especially at the start of a new gen. You just want to spread FUD and celebrate people losing their jobs. Nothing is going to come of this.
Sony is not on the brink of bankruptcy. They are still worth 18.5 billion. They just aren’t bringing in enough revenue or profits to bring that number up, and for a time, and probably for a few quarters here or there for the next few years, they will lose money. They also obviously have working capital, because they have games in development right now, and are able to market their newest system and do what they have to do to sell their products. If Sony were on the brink of bankruptcy, we wouldn’t be seeing AAA game announcements with budgets ranging from $50-100 million dollars. If they were on the brink of bankruptcy, they wouldn’t be buying Gaikai, or investing in new tech such as Morpheus…or even the PS4 for that matter.

First of all, you won’t find many microshit fanboys amongst the enlightened PC gaming master race. We hate them more than anybody else possibly could.
Secondly, there is nothing but a tiny gap in performance between xbone and nogamestation4. They are both about equally dismal when compared to a PC. There’s not much of a difference between the two consoles.
And lastly, PCs are evolving constantly. What’s high end this year will be solid mid range sooner than later. Sales on PC are also more steady and have much more longevity thanks to digital sales and no rampant used games tomfoolery that basically ensures that once a certain market saturation is reached you can kiss your sales on consoles goodbye forever.
So, developers would do well to aim EVEN WELL BEYOND the capabilities of current high end machines when designing their ultra settings because it will enable their games to stay graphically competitive much longer and thus rake in more sales over the years, you ignorant dumb shit.

PS4 version is downgraded for sure. They already said that when they released first trailer on E3 2012, they were pushed by the CEO, and they even didn’t know the exact specs of PS4.
As for the PC version, I think it looks much better, but we will know for sure only after the release.

To me looks almost identicall to 2012 i just need to see how the dof and postprocess are in current build ,there is a chance of it looking even better.
but i wouldnt say that it is not even close to 2012.
Supersampled to extents no current hardware will run smoothly. Especially the second shot also looks retouched in photoshop. I’m not even going to acknowledge the two heavy DOF main character scenes because those are clearly either from cutscenes or atleast partially staged for screenshotting purposes.
The good: Water. Reflections and waves look fantastic, the two shots with water in them look much more convincing than the one without.
The bad: The last shot. Without water in frame the city looks boring and dead. Hell, there are probably more cars and especially pedestrians (I count 11!) in that shot than you would see in Chicago’s real industrial districts after sunset. But for some reason the scene just looks like GTA 4 with better car shaders. I’m afraid this is what happens when you make a cross-gen console game. Your high end settings will look like a modded last-gen game.
I can’t wait for developers to ditch the engines of last-gen and make new ones tailored around quad core CPUs, 6-8 GB RAM and current midrange GPUs.
