These past couple of days, we got a lot of unofficial PC ports for numerous console games. So, I’ve decided to share most of them in one big article.
Let’s start with a Nintendo Wii U game, Splatoon 1. Splatoon is a third-person shooter that came out in 2015. The game centers around player-controlled Inklings, squid-like creatures that can transform between humanoid and cephalopodic forms at will.
The PC version has support for mouse and keyboard. It also lets you increase your resolution up to 4K. Moreover, it supports 60 FPS.
To install it, you’ll have to click Code → Download ZIP on its GitHub page and extract it to a short path (for example, C:\SplatoonPort). Then, double-click Setup.bat.
If Visual Studio Build Tools, Python 3.12, or Git are missing, the setup offers to install them for you. Afterwards, close the window and run Setup.bat again. When asked, select your Splatoon dump folder (the one containing code, content, and meta). The first setup takes 30–90 minutes as it builds the tools and recompiles your game. Once it’s done, you can run Splatoon.exe and play the game.
Then we have the unofficial PC port of Project Gotham Racing 4. It uses a DX12 renderer, and it is tuned for the Steam Deck OLED: 1280×800 at 90 fps with MSAA and Motion Blur On. You can download it from here.
For our Resident Evil fans, we have an unofficial PC port of the PS3 version of Resident Evil Code Veronica X. The PC port comes with resolutions up to 4K, 60FPS (though you can use Frame Gen to game at 120 FPS), and keyboard support. You can download it from here.
007: From Russia With Love is another game that never came out on PC. Its PC port comes with full keyboard and mouse support with raw input, adjustable sensitivity, inverted look, and rebindable controls. PC gamers can run it at 4K with high frame rates. We even get graphics settings for Draw Distance, AO, and MSAA. You can download it from here.
Knack 2 is another PS4-only game that has received an unofficial PC port. This PC port is in an early development phase. However, according to its creator, it is playable from beginning to end, including local co-op. You can grab it from here.
Finally, we have the unofficial PC ports of Call of Duty: Finest Hour Remastered, Gravity Rush Remastered, Ratchet and Clank, Luigi’s Mansion, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, Def Jam: Fight for NY, and Wario Land Shake It.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
