Secret Mode has released its new Star Wars racing game, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, on PC. Powered by Unreal Engine 5.7.4.0, it’s time to benchmark it and examine its performance on PC.
For our benchmarks, I used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900XT, RX 7900XTX, RX 9070XT, as well as NVIDIA’s RTX 2080Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 4090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. I also used Windows 10 64-bit, as well as the GeForce 617.14 and the Radeon Adrenalin Edition 26.9.2 drivers.
Fuse Games has added a few graphics settings to tweak. PC gamers can adjust the quality of Reflections, Foliage, Shadows, Textures, View Distance, and more. The game also supports NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2.1.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer does not have a built-in benchmark tool. It does have a “Benchmark” setting, but this only changes your in-game settings. It does not test how well the game runs with different settings. So, for our tests, I used this area. This appeared to be more demanding than the race tracks. So, it should give us a good idea of how the rest of the game runs.
Almost all of our GPUs were able to run the game at over 60FPS at 1080p/Epic Settings. Even our dated NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti was able to push an average of 64FPS. There were some drops to 56FPS, so for a completely smooth experience you will need a G-Sync monitor.
Our top five GPUs had no trouble at all pushing over 60FPS at 1440p/Epic Settings. As for Native 4K/Epic Settings, the only GPU that was able to offer a constant 60FPS experience was the NVIDIA RTX 5090. The NVIDIA RTX 4090 was also able to push an average of 69FPS. However, there were some drops to 54FPS. A G-Sync monitor will offer a smooth experience, even with those drops. Or you can use DLSS to boost your performance.
Graphics-wise, Star Wars: Galactic Racer looks great. It uses both Lumen and Nanite, and you won’t be getting a lot of pop-ins during your races. There is really nothing to complain about here. All vehicles are highly detailed, and the environments look amazing.
All in all, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a great showcase for Unreal Engine 5. The game can run smoothly on a wide range of GPUs, and it does not require a high-end CPU. It does not suffer from any stuttering issues, and it has proper KB&M on-screen prompts. Yes, this is a racing game, so it is not as demanding as an open-world action game. But who cares? What matters is that it looks and runs great!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
