NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 617.42 WHQL Driver Released

NVIDIA has released the GeForce Game Ready 617.42 WHQL driver for its graphics cards. The new driver is designed to offer the best gaming experience in the latest games and updates with DLSS and RTX features.

The driver is optimized for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. It also adds support for Valor Mortis and the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 update.

NVIDIA has also added day-one support for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. The game launches on October 8 with support for DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation.

Players can use the NVIDIA app to upgrade to the latest DLSS models. This can improve image quality and add Dynamic Frame Generation with up to 6X frame multiplication.

The new driver also fixes one game-related bug. To be more precise, it fixes a crash in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that could happen after long play sessions. The issue could occur after updating to driver 616.56.

Other than that, this driver does not include any other fixes. So, if you are not interested in the aforementioned PC titles, you can safely skip it. If, on the other hand, you want to stay up to date, you can go ahead and download it from this link. Below, you can also find its full changelog.
