Replicant D6 has announced that its retro FPS game that is inspired by Nintendo 64 classics like Perfect Dark and GoldenEye 007, Agent 64: Spies Never Die, will be released on August 11. To celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new trailer that you can find below.
In Agent 64: Spies Never Die, players take on the role of a secret agent in a fast-paced spy adventure. They will battle armed guards in action-packed shootouts, rescue hostages, steal secret plans, and use disguises to sneak past dangerous enemies. Each mission lets players complete its objectives in the order they choose. The game also features increasingly difficult challenges. By completing them, players can unlock new maps and character skins.
Like in a lot of the old-school FPS of the 90s and 00s, you will be able to search for Body Armor to increase health. According to the devs, you will be able to get your hands on a wide range of weapons like Machine Guns, Remote Mines, and futuristic Plasma Rifles.
The game will also support high-octane local four-player splitscreen. Plus, there will be online multiplayer with up to eight players. From what I know, there will be four multiplayer modes. Those are Classic Deathmatch, Zone, Briefcase, and Challenges.
And that’s not all. Agent 64: Spies Never Die will allow you to create custom lobbies with 70+ nostalgic cheats and gritty modifiers like Big Heads, Melee Disarms, slow bullet speeds, and random weapon changes in Paradox Mode.
I should also note that the devs have shared the game’s PC minimum requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-7500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti. So yeah, this game will run on a wide range of PC configurations.
Finally, you can download a demo for this game from Steam. This demo should give you a glimpse of what you can expect from it. So, if you are curious about it, you can download and play it.
Enjoy the trailer!
