Kwalee and FLYOS have announced Vampire: The Masquerade — ETERNAL WHISPERS, a narrative-driven CRPG set in the World of Darkness. To celebrate this announcement, the teams have also shared its first gameplay trailer that you can find below.
Players will wake up in a dark, modern city called Montreal. The city is full of secrets, danger, and political conflict. After sleeping for many years, they must learn what happened in their past. They will explore the world, deal with vampire society, and make choices that change the story. Their decisions will also shape their fate as they play through the game.
The developers say the game is all about roleplaying and the impact of your choices. There won’t be traditional combat in the game. Instead, players can choose how they act. They can be violent, sneaky, or harsh, depending on the paths they take. Every choice they make can change how the story unfolds.
Every talk, alliance, betrayal, or act of violence changes the story. Your choices will shape your relationships with others. They will also help you find hidden truths in the world. Some choices will open new paths while others may close them off.
Players will learn about their past little by little. They will explore the city, talk to people, listen in on conversations, and find clues in the environment. They will put together pieces of a broken story hidden in Montreal’s underground world. So, be warned. The city will be full of lies and tricks. Every conversation may hide secrets, and every discovery can lead to new problems or new truths.
Players start by creating their own character. They can change how their character looks and set their basic traits. As they play, their choices will shape their future. They can choose a ruthless path with the Sabbat or try to keep their humanity. Every decision will change how their story unfolds.
