Yesterday, Running With Scissors announced a new POSTAL game, called POSTAL: Bullet Paradise. This game was developed by Goonswarm Games and was meant to come out on PC via Steam. However, in a matter of hours, RWS has decided to completely kill the project.
But why did Running With Scissors cancel this new POSTAL game? Well, the game has received a lot of criticism on Steam due to content that appeared to be AI-generated. As such, RWS decided to completely kill the project.
Running With Scissors stated that this has broken its trust with the developer. It also stated that its customers come first, and that it wants to do right by them. And, since most of the POSTAL fans criticized the devs for using AI-generated content, the game has been killed.
Running With Scissors has taken down the Steam store page and the debut trailer for POSTAL: Bullet Paradise. However, YouTube’s ‘GamersPrey’ was able to save the trailer and re-upload it. So, below you can go ahead and watch it. I don’t expect RWS to take it down as mirrors will flood YT in the blink of an eye.
For what it’s worth, the Postal 2 Remake in Unity Engine, POSTAL 2 Redux, is still in development. However, there is still no ETA on when it will come out.
Stay tuned for more!
