miHoYo has just released a video, showcasing 31 minutes of gameplay from its upcoming open-world game that will be using Unreal Engine 5, Varsapura. This is a must-watch for all of miHoYo’s fans. So, if you are one of them, you should definitely check it out.
Sadly, the devs haven’t shared any more details about it. However, we do know that this is PC gameplay footage, captured on an NVIDIA RTX 4090.
Varsapura will have anime-like characters with a more realistic lighting system than Genshin Impact. From what I can see, it also borrows a lot of things from Remedy’s CONTROL. Well, that is in terms of its setting. Gameplay-wise, it does not play like CONTROL.
In the video, the devs showcased the game’s Stealth, Driving, and Combat mechanics. Stealth appears to be pretty basic. Not that this is a bad thing. Still, don’t expect anything particularly impressive. The same can be said about driving. Players will be able to drive vehicles and explore the whole city.
The combat system also appears to be a bit basic. You have regular attacks and some special moves. From what I could see, there aren’t any Parry or Deflection systems. Moreover, players can control three characters and switch between them during combat. So, my guess is that this will be another Gacha game. Or at least that’s the vibe I get from it.
There is currently no ETA on when Varsapura will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Enjoy!
