AMD has finally released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the red team, the AMD Adrenalin 25.8.1 driver offers optimal performance in the latest games like Mafia: The Old Country, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, and Battlefield 6’s Open Beta.
Moreover, this new driver adds support for Mecha BREAK and the Unreal Engine 5 Update for Valorant.
AMD has added support for AMD FSR 4.0 in a number of games. To be more precise, WUCHANG, Mafia: The Old Country, and Cyberpunk 2077 will now support FSR 4.0. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, Wreckfest 2, and Lies of P also support AMD FSR 4.0.
From what I can see, there is no support for AMD FSR 4.0 for Battlefield 6. This means that the Open Beta will most likely support AMD FSR 3.0, and not AMD FSR 3.1. This is kind of a bummer. Still, let’s hope that AMD and DICE will work so that they can add support for FSR 4.0 in the final version.
AMD Adrenalin 25.8.1 driver adds support for the AMD Radeon RX 9060. So, if you’re planning to get this GPU, this is the driver you should install.
This new driver also fixes several problems. For example, you should no longer see stutters or slowdowns when watching 4K YouTube videos in Chrome. The driver also fixes random crashes or timeouts in Monster Hunter Wilds when using Radeon Anti-Lag and Instant Replay. Battlefield 2042 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard should now be more stable. And if you play Call of Duty: Warzone on the Season 03 ‘Verdansk’ map, you should notice fewer stutters on some AMD GPUs.
Like always, you can go ahead and download this new driver from AMD’s official website. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME, lol. I saw on another post that it actually whitelists Stellar Blade as well. Pretty hopeful for Mafia this week. I've been grinding out FF7 Rebirth and would really appreciate something grounded and focused after such a humongous open world. I couldnt imagine we get another update before september.
To be fair… there are at least 2 work arounds. The ever loved "Optiscaler" mod and there is now a little program called "AMD GPU Profile Manager" on github (by "OpenSystemTelemetry") that can apparently modify the FSR whitelist to add any application.
ty, I do use optiscaler but haven’t updated my download in a few months. I will have to check out the profile manager.
